30. The 4th 'Incredible' Person

Manik gets frightened at the scene in front of him.

He finds, Aryaman and Nandu glaring each other, almost attacking one another with invisible daggers.

Manik(bewildered): Guys, are you both ok? You were fine few minutes back.

They both break their glaring session and Nandu frantically started searching the room.

Manik(puzzled): ab tujhe kya hua?

Nandu(gritting her teeth): Manik, this guy has lost his mind. Main wahi search kar rahi hun.

Manik forcefully makes her sit beside him on the bed.

Manik(tiredly): Will you both tell me what happened? Aryaman?

Nandu(glaring Aryaman): Haan haan pucho usi se. Bolega what was he talking.

Manik(pleaded): Acha tum batao, what was he talking?

Nandu(huffing in anger): He is considering Soha as the 4th person for his project.

Manik(surprised): what?

Nandu: Exactly.

Aryaman(Taunted Nandu): Manik before you shout like her, listen to me. I need 4 different types of personalities. And who would be better than Soha?

Manik(confused): True. And Nandu, why are you opposing? Tu bhi toh included hai. It's not like he is choosing her over you.

Nandu(frustrated): I don't know. I don't even want her name to go to Mars. Saare Earth mein logo ka badnaam karegi vo ladki.

Aryaman(explained softly): Listen Nandini. It's not like that. I have you three. (Manik, Nandu, and Cabir). If people would think negative about Earthlings after knowing about Soha, they will love Earth after reading about you three. I am sure about it. It's just that she is a rare species. There's no one as 'incredible' as her.

Nandu(ordering him): ok. But, you will write that in 'bold and capital with extra large font'.

Manik(mutters): 'bold and capital with extra large font'. Aisa lag raha hai jaise pizza maang rahi ho, 'with extra cheese'.

Nandu(glared him): suna maine.

Manik(smiled sarcastically): Oh really? Great then.

Nandu: Aryaman?

Arya(politely): yes Nandini, what should I write in 'bold and capital with extra large font'?

Nandu(frowned): That she is a rare species.

Arya(chuckles): Done. But guys, I don't want them to know about this thing.

Manik(assured): Aryaman, don't worry. Just be careful around Cabir. Usko agar hint bhi milega na, he will make sure to know everything about this. But, I can handle him. I am not sure about Soha though.

He looks at Nandini after saying the last line.

Nandu(coolly): Arey, you don't even need to worry about Soha. Hint kya, use agar tumhara pura project pakda doge, phir bhi use kuch samajh nahi ayega. But yeah, if there's any problem I can handle her.

Aryaman smiles at them. They see that it's 2 am, so they call it a night.

Nandu(smiled): Goodnight boys.

Arya: Goodnight girl.

Turning towards Manik,

Nandu(frowned): Tu mujhe wish nahi karega?

Manik(teased): Nahi. Aryaman, I will drop her to her room and come.

Aryaman nods and Manik leaves the room along with Nandini.

Outside Manik's room

While walking to Nandu's room, she asks.

Nandu(raising her eyebrows): Malhotra, tune mujhe bataya nahi ki uncle ne mera room America shift kardiya, that you need to 'drop' me?

Manik stops in his tracks and hugs her suddenly.

Nandu(ruffling his hair): Manik? Are you ok?

Manik(whispered): I am sorry, Nandu. I am so so sorry.

She breaks the hug and drags him to her room. Making him sit in front of her, she asks.

Nandu(softly): Ab batao. What's wrong?

Manik(mumbled): I am sorry for the morning thing.

Nandu(disbelievingly): Manik seriously? Tu ab tak yeh soch raha hai?

Manik(feebly): I don't like when we fight.

Nandu(cupping his cheek): Manik, it's ok. Not that we stop talking to each other for days. These small fights can't do anything to us. Don't we always find our ways back to each other?

Manik(helplessly): Nandu, I don't want something happens and..

Nandu(maintaining a serious face): Nothing would happen that you don't want, Manik. Stop thinking now. We were having fun. It just got a bit serious. You don't take life seriously. Isiliye pehli baar serious situation mein you are panicking. Learn from me. How serious I am about everything. That's why I am prepared for every situation.

Manik(sarcastically): Tu aur serious? Thank you for making me smile with such a hilarious joke.

Nandu(pretended to be shocked): Manik, you don't agree with me?

Manik(declared): No.

Nandu(pouted): I am hurt.

Manik(chuckled): I am not.

Nandu(yelled): Manik.

Manik(laughingly): Acha acha. Sleep now. We have to start early, right.

Nandu nods. Manik tucks her into the bed and leaves to his room after wishing her a good night.

Next day, morning

Manik wakes up early due to constant buzzing of his mobile by none other than Cabir. He wakes Arya up and they get freshen up after which they leave to Nandu's room to wake her up. But found Nandu sitting on the bed and all ready to go.

Manik(surprised): Nandu, tu itne jaldi uthkar tayyar bhi ho gayi?

Nandu(excitedly): Yes Manik. I am hell excited to go to the farmhouse.

Manik(sarcastically): Yeah, right. Tum toh pehli baar ja rahi ho na farmhouse that you are this excited?

Nandu(pouted): Manik, stop pretending as Cabir so early in the morning.

Manik glares her while Arya laughs in disbelief at the duo.

Nandu(excitedly): Manik, let's play a game.

Manik(frowned): Abhi? Itni subah?

Nandu(almost ordered): Please na. Say yes.

Manik(still in doubt): What game?

Nandu(declared): Role reversal.

Manik(smiled sarcastically): And why do you think I want to play that now?

Nandu(happily): Because the sky is blue.

Arya, Manik: What?

Nandu(Ignoring their shocked faces): Yes. So Manik, now I am Manik and you are Nandini. And you have to do a small task.

Manik(sarcastically): What task?

Nandu(instructed): Follow me.

Both the boys follow her having no other option. She takes them to her room at Murthy house. Manik and Arya look at her in confusion.

Nandu(to Manik): Nandini, you have to pack my bag for my stay at the farmhouse.

Manik(playing along says to Nandini): Manik, did I ever listen to you that you have this biggest misconception that I, Nandini Murthy, would pack your bags?

Nandu(cutely): Manik, please na. I am confused. I promise I will help you with packing.

Manik(rolling his eyes): As if I have any other choice.

Nandu(patting his back): Good good.

After 15 mins.

Arya and Manik completed packing few clothes and essentials as there are some spares at the farmhouse.

Manik(sighed): Finally, it's done.

Nandu(proudly): Great job guys, we did it.

Arya(glared): Nandu, you didn't even touch a single piece of cloth. All you did was to play games on that mobile of yours.

Nandu(explained): Aryaman, since it's a teamwork, you have to share the credits with your teammates.That's good manners. Now be good boys and get the luggage down and let's start.

Aryaman gaped at her while Manik carried her bag and left downstairs where Cabir was waiting for them with others. Seeing Manik carrying Nandu's bags everyone was surprised as yesterday they were fighting. Cabir couldn't bear the suspense and asked them.

Cabir(curiously): Nandu, yesterday you didn't want to talk to Manik, right? Aur maine tere liye Manik ko tyag bhi diya and we both were on same teams. Ab kya hua?

Nandu made a really sad face and answered him.

Nandu(in a grief-stricken tone): Cabir due to some unforeseen conditions, yesterday we both sorted the things out. So, fortunately for me, I am in Manik's team and that left you alone in my team.

Cabir(gaped): What?

Nandu(in a motivating tone): You are alone warrior Cabir. You can fight all alone.

Cabir made a horror-stricken face and all others laughed at him.
