   Kenshin and I stepped forward. Yumuko siya bilang paggalang at simbolo ng sportsmanship. I did the same.

   Kenshin held the katana in a front guard, meaning he will attack first.

" Katanas are quite heavy because they were weapons from a time before the advent of light metals, well, the ones that we are using right now. Ang mga katana na ginawa sa panahong ito ay pang decoration na lang kaya mas magaan but those ancient ones are not."

   The length and weight of this katana is quite exaggerated, as if I'm fighting a beast! At talagang mabigat! I adjusted my wrist just to make sure I won't fall short of the force. Inikot ko ang espada sa ere, trying to get used to the weight.

" Woah," the children exclaimed. It's like we're performing in a theater.

" The weight of the katana that Montero is holding right now is 7.2 lbs. The wakizashi is about 5.3 lbs. "

   Kenshin tried to advance and the edge of his katana is trying to pierce my skin.

" As what you have observed, we are not wearing any armors but in your training, you will kahit na wooden katanas pa lang. In your duels, you will be handed real swords at walang armor."
   
    Parang baliktad ata.

" Because we want it or not, our safety is not guaranteed all the time. May dala ka bang armor anytime a rogue will appear? That's why we want the duel to become more realistic. Masusugatan, yes, but we will be drawing the match in case someone will take the duel to their hearts. We don't allow deaths."

   And then Kenshin made an empty fade. He leaped backwards as if to fade but he suddenly charged again and pointed his sword at me. I bended a bit to ready myself for the impact of our swords clashing.

   Gumawa iyon ng malakas na ingay. Napapaatras ang mga nanood. Kenshin then leaped twice in the air. I rotated 180° immediately to dodge the attack. Alam yata ni Kenshin na gagawin ko iyon kaya mabilis din siyang nakarating sa lugar ko. Our blades clashed like there's no tomorrow.

   Kasabay ng paggalaw ng aming mga buhok ay lumalagaslas din sa hangin ang suot naming hakama, I bet it looked magistic. Kenshin's face was void of any emotion, he's provoking me. Gusto ko lang naman umilag sa mga atake niya pero gusto niyang umatake rin ako.

   My arms started to get numb. Patagal nang patagal ay mas lalong bumibigat ang puwersa sa espada ni Kenshin. Kumunot ang noo ko. Gusto niya ba akong patayin?

" Kenshin, ano ba-"

   He suddenly moved sidewards and swiftly raised his sword. The onlookers gasped when they saw how the blade drew blood on my arms. Inis na tinignan ko ang lalaki. I took two steps forward and prepared.

    Seems like he wants it to be more realistic, huh?

   I charged towards him like a mad bull. I stepped across his space, leaving him no place to run. I turned 180° and with full force and pressure hit his katana. Napaatras siya sa puwersang hatid noon. I lunged in the air, umikot at pinatid siya. Na out balance siya kaya kinuha ko ang pagkakataon na iyon para patirin uli siya sa mismong tuhod. Talagang nilakasan ko iyon kaya napaluhod siya.

   I pointed the edge of my sword in his neck, mas idiniin ko iyon kaya dumugo ang leeg niya.

" Montero, tama na-"

    I put my sword down. Naglakad ako palapit sa mesa at maayos itong nilagay doon. May dumalo sa kaniyang mga kasamahan namin habang ang iba naman ay nakanganga pa rin sa nasaksihan. Agad na nahawi ang daan nang palampas na ako sa kanila.

" A-ate," Cheshire approached me with a teary eye.

   Napabuntong hininga ako. I slowly smiled, telling him to not worry. May inabot siyang puting tuwalya. Ginamit ko ito para tabunan ang sugat. It was like a second degree cut, medyo malalim. I applied pressure para tumigil ang dugo pero patuloy lang itong dumaloy.
