A lift is the location, shyness is the theme. A fur coat is an object that plays a part in the story.

The elevator stopped running at 8 in the crispy cold morning of July the 7th. Of all the things to happen it had to be the worst incident of the week. Excluding me, there were 3 other people in the elevator. Ms Cresch, a woman of high importance in the marketing industry. She wore designer clothes, hot off the market, which were probably released yesterday. Compared to her it looked as if I had been picked off the street and forced onto the elevator. There was Mr Monday, a man that worked in my unit, a fat, stubby man, with a gray mustache and a failed attempt at dyed brown hair to make himself look younger than the old man that he was. Indeed on this Monday morning that the incident took place. He was not a Monday morning person, in fact, I doubt that I had ever seen him happy on a Monday ever in my life. Then there was Liam. A very quiet person, who stood in the corner and looked very isolated and small. Kind of like how I looked. I didn’t know much about Liam. To be honest I didn’t know him at all until we got stuck in the elevator. When the elevator stopped working, Ms Cresch toppled over and fell to the ground due to how high and unstable her high heels were.
