Every story has a Character. Correct? Well this story has two main ones. Ella the wind up ballerina, and Isabelle the Teddy Bear. Before you think "Well that's not very interesting," Just wait. The enemy of this story. Well, it is fire and the Antique shop owner. You are probably questioning What I am Talking about...aren't you? Well let me tell you a tale about Theodore Smith.
And his Death.
It was late fall in the little town of no name. Theodore was at his proudest at this very moment! Good 'ol Teddy had just created a living doll. With a few cranks of the cog attached to her back, Ella was alive. The sound of gears inside her body filled the silence before teddy had exclaimed, "Excellent!" Ella had jumped slightly from the sudden noise, but smiled sweetly. She waved to him and finally spoke "H...Hello!" Theodore had said Hi back and patted her head gently. "Alright Ella. I want you to press your stomach and perform a ballet routine." Ella nodded and done as told, ending her little show with a split.
The next few months Ella was Theodore's lab partner. Together, they tried creating a little bear who can turn into a ragdoll. Finally, Isabelle was almost done. All she needed was her voicebox. Alas, She never got it. A fire started from a candle and lit the who cottage on fire, killing Theodore. The two were found in the rubble and put in an antique shop. Now the owner.;...well imagine a grumpy old man who finds no more joy in his life. Yup. That's accurate. Anyway, This old name never told anyone his name. So lets call him Paul. Paul found out the girls were living and took advantage of it. He would make them do all the work around the place and only feed them a rotten apple every few days.
