Save Me (Jinkook)

Thank you.....for helping me fly

"Jungkookie!!" Jin swung the door wide open.

Jungkook jumped up a few inches off the ground, slightly startled.

"Hyung! You're back!!" Jungkook splits into a wide grin.

Then Jungkook flies into Jin's open, warm embrace.

Jin hugged him tight, and Jungkook swore he's never been happier.

Jin slowly breaks out of the hug. "What're you making?"

"Trying to make some japchae."

"Trying?"

"No one is as good you when you're cooking."

Jin grinned broadly (but not as broad as his shoulders). "Want some help then?"

"Yes please." Jungkook sighed in relief.

"Have you been eating good?"

"Usually instant ramen twice a day."

"Jeonggukie!"

"What?"

"That's unhealthy!"

"I exercise though."

"That's not my point."

"Sorry, but I don't really know how to cook."

Jin shakes his head.

"Hyung, I wish we could be together more often." Jungkook blurts out, sighing wistfully.

"I'm sorry Gguk, I try my best. Some cases want me to go abroad."

"When will you be going abroad again?"

"I don't know. Maybe around another 7 weeks." 

"Hyung..."

"I'm really sorry, Gguk. I wish I could be with you too."

"I know. It's just sometimes things get hard...I understand you have to do this because of work, but at the same time I want you to be with me. And if you're a police officer, I'm scared one day you'll be wounded one day..or even worse...I'm scared one day you won't be back. " A tear slides down Jungkook's cheek.

"Oh Gguk-baby. My cases aren't that dangerous. I'm pretty much a detective that knows how to fight." Jin's words are reassuring, but aren't enough to soothe Jungkook completely.

Jungkook's tears fall down even faster.

"Don't worry, ok? I'll always be here- Jin taps at Jungkook's heart lightly- so you won't miss me."

Jungkook manages a small smile.

"Let's work on the japchae, yeah?"

Jungkook nods.
