Have you ever thought that maybe just maybe the situation that you are in now is because of a word? A teeny, tiny word?
How many of us actually do take what we say into consideration? I am not talking about the random stupid arguments with your friend calling her fat and she calls you ugly and all that. No, I am actually talking about the most abused 4 letters in english.. any hints? yup you got it it's the "L" word. It's not just this word we seem to misuse there are plenty of words, but lets just focus on it since it's the main cause for the pain and heartache we feel. We always seem to blame our heart for literally all the screw ups in our lives and we rarely blame our "smart" brain. Our tongues always seem to find a way to ruin our best moments. However; the main guilty part of our body is never our heart, nope it's that thing underneath the skull that precious soft unusable squishy tissue we call brain!!
When a person uses the word "love" to express his feelings when all his heart felt was infatuation.
Or when a person uses "hate" instead of dislike or detest.
It's mainly our fault that we never took some time to understand these words. What they actually mean and when we are supposed to use them.
It's mainly our fault that we underestimate the power of words.
Just think about it this way, how many hearts were broken because a person replaced the word infatuation with the word love? Will the person that was once told he was loved and all of a sudden left behind be as broken as he is if he knew from the beginning it was just an infatuation?
It's ironical how we seem so literate yet so imbecile.
Stop using words you never meant. Stop accusing your poor pumping machine for feelings you thought it felt.
