Centered

This is a poem that sorta explains stuff in one of my other stories, Beast of Light, so yeahhhhhh... (hesitantly smiled, questioning why I even tried to explain it)

"What is it like to be Centered, my man?"

"Well, it's quite the experience; give me a fan"

"Why must I, my lord, I will, however"

"Because I am hot and I will tell you how I live forever"

"Yes my lord"

"Now, don't call me lord, and i will tell you much

for being centered, there is so many to tell that such

times as these ones, I have trouble concentrating

but for you, young one, i'll speak for your training

At first it felt strange, like a voice in my head

a persistent ringing even when asleep on my bed

i listened to it once, asking it 'who are you?'

and it simply answered, 'What do you rue?'

The very next day, when I closed my eyes,

I saw a man in a rich home, holding tens of ties

He smiled and waved

I opened my eyes and he was gone

That memory, I was sure to save

of that moment when he smiled an waved

The next few decades, I felt no change

in my mind, yes, but my body, none

And indeed having tamed the Word, I no longer age

and those around me stayed the same the same way

Our bodied, my body, it does not decay

Every birthday, I feel young, my age on delay

That voice I spoke of, remember of it, young one?

He was the man holding that of the ties, son

His name he told me, and it held such meaning

and the power I gained, it was teeming

with such energy, I could barely control

Oh! Have I mentioned I had to fight a troll?

This voice gave way to light, little boy

It shall never betray me

So should we ever treat and throw this as a toy

I say, 'Put poison in my tea!'

for killing your Word is slaying your mortality

It is just you slaying your morality!

So enjoy your Follower's time spent with you

And never betray him, for he stays by you

Be Centered, my young one; this is what is to be Centered

Now, grab me that jar, boy, that B-Lite basin!"

"Yes sir!"

"Oh, how you'll be a great one, my Jason"
