"Hey, I got you somethings." You said, trying to cheer him up. "You did?" He asked, confused.

"Yeah!" You said excitedly, reaching into a big bag. "I got you some clothes. You can't wear my brother's old clothes forever." He slowly walked over to the table where the bags were. He was very confused. He hadn't ever had new clothes. His mother had always made them, or made him make them.

You pulled out some shirts and pants and a new winter coat. "They should fit you, but if they don't, I can take them back and get a different size." You said, holding a up a shirt in front of him. "Th-Thank you, Y/N." He said, graciously. You smiled up at him. "You're welcome. Now go try them on! I want to see you in them."

He tried them on and they all fit. You could tell he was very thankful for all of it.

"So, I know we had soup last night, but I found this new recipe that I really want to try. Do you mind?" You asked, while straightening up the kitchen. Credence sat at the kitchen table. "No, I don't mind." You turned around to look at him. He looked adorable, sitting there in his new clothes. His hair wasn't the way it always had been, it was messy and you loved it. You smiled at him, saying, "Okay then, I'll get started on the soup." You pulled out some ingredients and set them on the table. "Do you want to help me?- If you don't want to you don't have to." You quickly added, not wanting him to feel like he had to do anything. "Sure, I'll help you." He quietly answered. You smiled at him and said, "Okay, you can cut up some carrots." Then you went over to the record player and put on your favorite record.

As you made the soup together, you thought about that night you had told Credence that you loved him. He had run away from you and you had walked home alone, drowning in sadness. The next evening you were making soup for dinner and you thought about how amazing it would be if Credence was here to make it with you. Now here you were, cooking soup with Credence and it was the greatest thing ever. You made the broth while Credence cut the vegetables. The whole apartment was filled with the amazing smell of soup. "Look! It's starting to snow!" You said, walking over to the window. The snow fell softly as you continued to make the soup.

You were standing in front of the stove, stirring the soup when Credence came behind you, very close. He just stood there, staring the back of you. You stopped breathing and your heart beat faster. He placed his shaking hand on your shoulder. You turned your head, looking at his hand, and placed your hand on his, stroking it with your thumb. He stepped closer to you, wrapping his other arm around your waist. He pulled his other hand out of your grasp and wrapped it around you, laying his head on your shoulder. He squeezed you so tightly, but it was still so gentle. "I think I love you." He whispered. You placed your hands on his arms that were still wrapped around you. "I love you too." You said, smiling from ear to ear. And you leaned your head against his head, that still rested on your shoulder. The music continued to play softly as he held you. You both felt so content as you stood there as one.

After quite a while of embracing, he let go. You continued to stir the soup as Credence looked out the window at the snowy city. You couldn't believe what had just happened, your mind was racing. He told you he loved you. He had opened up to you and you couldn't be happier.

You set the table together and spooned the soup into two bowls. You ate once again in silence, but you didn't care. You were together and it was perfect. After you had finished eating, you washed the dishes together. This time you decided you should make conversation. You asked him what he did while you were gone. "I read the whole time." He told you. "Really? The whole time?" You chuckled. "Yeah." He smiled at you. You loved it when he smiled, especially when he smiled at you.

It was pretty late after you finished washing the dishes and cleaning up the kitchen. You told him to take your bed again. After a little persuading he finally agreed to take it. You got ready in the bathroom first. You got into you pajamas and brushed your teeth. You told Credence goodnight and went downstairs to get the couch ready. After Credence was ready he got into bed and attempted to sleep. He tossed and turned, but could't stop thinking about what he had done in the kitchen. He felt kind of accomplished for doing it, but he also felt embarrassed.

After tossing and turning for a while, he slid out of bed and went to the steps. He saw that a light was still on downstairs, so he tiptoed down. You were siting against the arm of the couch, curled up under a blanket, reading a book. You noticed him standing on the stairs, watching you. You put your book down and smiled at him. "Can't sleep?" You asked. He nodded, looking down at his feet. You changed positions, so you sat facing forward. He looked up and you patted the place beside you. He walked over and sat next to you. You scooted closer to him, resting your head on his shoulder. You stared at his hand that was resting in his lap, and without overthinking too much, you grabbed his hand. You felt him get tense at your action, but he quickly relaxed and held your hand back.

You placed your other hand on top of his and squeezed it tightly. You then opened up your hands to see his palms. You hadn't examined his scars in while. Pulling his hand closer to get a better look, you lightly brushed your fingers over his scars. Your eyes began to fill with tears as you thought about all the pain that he had endured. He watched you, as you gently touched his hands, then rested his head on yours. You pulled his hand to your lips, kissing it with so much love Credence could hardly believe it.

You reached over to turn off the lamp. Then you curled up, your legs resting in Credence's lap. You pulled the blanket over you both and rested your head on his chest. His arms wrapped around you and you both dosed off, so content in each others arms.
