Chapter 2: The Date

Gerald's POV

We have dined together before pero lagi sya may chaperon. Most of the time, we spent time together sa house nila pero since everyone knows that we are a couple na, we are free to be together na in public.

I asked her and of course her parents kung gusto ba nyang lumabas. Its  Monday night, day off nya and saktong maaga na-pack up ang shoot ng movie ko. I called her that afternoon to ask; she said "Paalam lang ako babe ah"...

I said "Ok, basta sana yung tayong dalawa lang ah, para naman masolo kita".

She responded with a giggle, sweet and short.

"Let's see... I'll text you na lang later!" sagot nya.

"Ok... i'm crossing my fingers! Sige, I Love you sooo much Babe!" i said.

 "I love you too Baby Boy, hihihi" she told me excitedly.

I got home after lunch and slept for a while. When i woke up at around 4pm, i got a txt from her.

"Babe! Ok na! Date with u tonyt! and no chaperon! HAHAHA.. excited na ko! Call me when u read this! ILY!"

I called her immediately...

"Babe!" sabi ko.

"Na-recieve mo text ko?!" she asked me.

"Yup! I'm so happy! Pakisabi kina Tita, thank you ah! Finally masosolo na kita!" sabi ko.

"Bakit naman?! Wala ka namang kaagaw ah. Solong-solo mo ko noh?! Ikaw lang naman nagtyaga sa'kin eh... wala namang ibang nagkamali eh, ikaw lang! Ikaw lang ang Malabo ang mata Babe! HAHAHA." sabi nya.

"..........", i didnt answer.

"Babe?! Andyan ka pa ba?!" she exclaimed.

"Andito pa.." sagot ko with a sad tone of voice.

"Hindi ka ba natawa babe?! Nag-jojoke lang naman ako eh" sabi nya.

I didnt respond.

"Babe?!" she asked.

"Hindi ako nagkamali Sarah..." I said calmly. "In fact, i've never felt this sure in my entire life. Kaya huwag mong sabihin na I was wrong." sabi ko.

I heard she took a deep breath. "Sorry Babe, i was just kidding..." sabi nya.

".........." i didnt say anything.

"Babe, sorry na oh! Promise, hindi na mauulit" sabi nya.

"What made you think of it ba?" i asked.

"Hmmmm...", in a sad tone. "Wala lang, what i mean is, sa gwapo mong yan, sa bait mong yan sa katulad ko lang ikaw mapupunta diba?" sabi nya.

"So you think you are lesser than other girls out there?" tanong ko.

"Parang.." she said with uncertainty.

"Ikaw ang mali babe, you were wrong!" sabi ko. "Nasa sa'yo na ang lahat, talented, down to wearth, mabait and most of all you are beautiful. I like everything about you.. diba i always tell you i like your simplicity, in fact that made you stand out from the rest. I like your talent, ipaglalaban ko ng patayan kung may magsabing wala kang talent. I like your values, your kindness and your attitude. Ikaw lang ang nakita ko na meron lahat ng 'yon. And you are very pretty babe, so do not think that you are less than anyone out there. I LOVE YOU babe, alam mo yan" i explained.
