1. This is a soulmate AU where you and your soulmate can talk back and forth in your heads. The link doesn't work until you're 18. The only reason you won't link with them is that they're younger than 18 or because they died before you turned 18.
It's loosely based on @DestructiveJoonie's "Loud Soulmate" (just the AU, not the storyline)
