Kitty's pov

It was like an earthquake. Two sisters gone. Forever. I wish I protected them better. Mama. Papa. I'm so sorry. Now another marker is under the willow tree we planted. But when I find the one who did this. He'll be sorry. Breath shorting I gathered my remaining sisters and bundled them inside with a final glace around.  At some time in the day? Night? I feel into a fitful sleep.

My poor Kitty. I wasn't sure what was wrong, but I did know a way to find out. With a deep breath, I placed my hand on her sweaty forehead. A jumble of feeling and images burst into my mind. A boy who- dripping red coming from- all my fault. All my fault. My fault. "Hello sister" my fault.

Gasping I jerked my hands away. The feeling of guilt still lingered. Unimaginable guilt. But why? She had done all she could for us. Feed us. Taught us to survive. Protected us. She had no reason to be guilty. She. Was. Like a mum. To all of us.
