Chapter Sixteen: Stay away from the Eye

*As they wait for the light to turn off they look at the unfortunate souls who didn't make it out of the light in time and were turned to stone.*
Amy: Oh god...
Tails: Just don't get in the light and we'll be fine.
*The light turns off*
Tails: Run!
*They run to the next bolder and as soon as they get behind it the light turns back on.*
???: Where are you? You can't hide forever...
Sonic: Who was that?
Tails: Probably the person who's controlling this place, or maybe not.
*The light turns off and everyone quickly runs to a nearby cave*
Amy: *sighs of relief* That was a close one.
Tails: Look over there! *he points to a pedestal with another chaos emerald.*
Sonic: Let's grab it and go.
Amy: *she quickly grabs the chaos emerald.*
Tails: That's weird, the lights are still off... wait... Sonic! Amy! Close your eyes!
Sonic: Why?
Tails: Just do it it!
*Sonic and Amy then quickly shut their eyes.*
Amy: *she feels someone put their hand on her shoulder. She is tempted to open her eyes but she keeps them shut.* Don't touch me.
???: Just open your eyes young one. Seeing is believing.
Amy: Nope!
Tails: *he backs up against the wall trying to find Amy or Sonic.*
???: Don't run from me, I'm here to help.
Tails: We don't need help, we already got what we came for.
???: Oh really?
Tails: But we don't need someone like you in our way.
???: *she begins to walk toward Tails.* You know it's rude to invade my home like this... *she trips Tails*
Tails: Oof!
???: *she laughs*
Sonic: That's it. *he blindly uses his homing attack to push her into the light*
???: *she screams of pain but all of a sudden, she goes silent.*
Amy: Is it over?
Sonic: Yep, you can open your eyes.
*Amy and Tails open their eyes and stare at the woman who was now stone.*
Sonic: Guess she had what was coming to her.
Tails: *he looks around and finds a control room where the was woman appeared from. He then pulls the lever and the light turns off.*
Amy: Let's get out of here!
Tails: Sonic, try dropping the scroll on the ground.
Sonic: Ok *drops the scroll on the ground.*
*The scroll reacts then pulling them all in.*
Amy: *jumps in*
Sonic: ?!
Tails: Come-on! *jumps in*
Sonic: Oh boy...*jumps in.*
