2 P.O.V. For a little bit.
Even though the ride home to G's safe house was a little bit awkward, you couldn't shake the feeling that maybe you guys will because good friends during this whole journey. You daydreamed all the cool things you guys would do like parkour, and doing crazy ninja moves that'll kill the waking dead around you.
That was interrupted when the car jerked to a stop in front of a creepy large building. "Here we are hun. It may not be much but wait until you see what's inside. It'll keep us safe in the meantime."
1st P.O.V
Well for one thing, I'm glad it isn't a broken down house. I'm pretty shocked he can obtain something like this so big and keep it secured. (Pic in the chapter photo.) "You ready to go inside?" He said as he put down the kickstand to his bike.
"Yea. I know it'll be way better than being out here. So show me your big royal home that you have in front of me King G." I said as I bow down and grinned at him. He just rolled his eyes and gave a little smirk to add to it.
We started to walk side by side up to the house. As I waited beside him he pressed in some numbers by the door for it to unlock. We got inside of his 'royal home' and boy let me tell you; it was the biggest space I've ever seen that looked cozy and very tidy despite it being abandoned. He had customized the inside area so good that I thought it was really fit for a king. Everything was made with leather and wood.
"Well you can sit and get comfortable ya know? Don't gotta stand and stare at everything." He walked into the kitchen to grab a drink for me and him. I began to walk to a la-z-boy couch and sat down and relaxed. I pushed a lever for my feet to relax on once it sprung up and it was heaven.
"Wow G. Your home is amazing. How did you manage to do all of this? It must've token a while to get all of this in here and in one piece." He started to walk my way with two glasses of lemon water. He sat down beside me and handed me the glass. I gladly took it and started to take sips as I looked at him for an answer, and also enjoying the water.
"Well, it wasn't easy that's for sure. Before all this shit started to happen I actually use to come here to see a good ole friend of mine. He use to work here and I would drop by to say a hello and sometimes do a bit of chaos. Then couple of days later I turned on the news when it all went down with people eating each other. They told us to stay indoors, but saying shit like that ain't gonna make people feel any safer when broadcasting shit like that. So people started to pack up and leave, hoping somewhere else would be safe or maybe they had this all planned out. Most didn't survive trying to leave or stay. A few groups of people were lucky to make it out in time." He started to take a few sips of his water before continuing.
"I've been taking things left and right on whatever I can get my hands on. For me it's kinda easy to survive since I'm just bone and don't have blood flow, but for you humans it'll spread like a wildfire. I'm surprised you made it out alive though doll. That would've been dead to the bone.
I looked and him for a bit before I got the joke. Is he really cracking a pun with all that's going on? Well I couldn't hold back a small laugh because even though it was a cheesy pun, it made me feel better that somehow everything would be alright with cool guy around.
"That was a cheesy pun but I don't mind. By the way, since I'm like your partner in crime, what is our plan with all those things out there? Do you have anywhere you need to travel to get?" I asked at I drank more water.
"Well I gotta couple of family/friends I need to save from the next state up ahead. Once we get them there's a base in Hawaii where they take monsters and humans in. If you're bitten tho you can't go in. They'll kill you on the spot. You gotta be quarantined before you even step out of the airport. So I'm rooting for you to stay alive here kid." G drank the last of his water and started to get up and stretch.
"Well how about we plan this all tomorrow morning. Get stocked up and get any supplies that are needed like guns and food and first aid. Then once we're good and ready to go, we can work on looking for a truck and customize it to make it zombie proof." I said as I gave him a cheesy grin. I stood up with him and put my hand out for him to shake as a deal.
"Fine doll, I can work with that. We start at 10 o' clock in the morning. Meet me in my garage. It'll be down this hall to your left." He grabbed my hand and shook with a firm grip. He took our drink and took them into the kitchen to put into the sink.
"Sounds great. So um... where do I sleep?" I waited for an answer.
"Oh sorry bout that. I gotta guest room upstairs so come follow me." G then walked passed me to the stairs and I followed him. We went up a flight of stairs and down a cozy looking hall to the room. Mine was on the left, and his was in the right.
"Well I'll see ya in the mornin'. Get some rest. Night." He opened his door and closed it softly.
"Goodnight G." I opened my door and stepped inside. "Woah, I can get use to this." The bed was a waterbed being held up with very expansive wood. There was a mirror on the ceiling and white Christmas lights around the room to create a forest like structure, a bookshelf that took up half of the wall from the room and a (f/c) beanbag on the floor. The floor had black carpet and the room smelled of vanilla and burnt wood.
I crawled into bed and went under the thick heavy blanket. I began to feel light as I went into a deep slumber.
