You'll never know what it's like until you see what I've seen. You'll never understand what its like until you've felt what I've felt. The darkness of insanity creeping into your lungs. Nobody ever understood this. Not until that day. The day I met...
her.
She was dressed in all black. Black jeans, black hoodie, black sneakers. Everything black. I was curious back then, I always had been. Let's just say that my curiosity got the best of me.
I was unsure of how to approach her. She had been there for days. Staring, smiling, everything except her lips hidden. I felt this need to know her. To hear the words from her lips.
I should've known she would be nothing but a temptress.
The day I finally found the courage to meet her was the day my world fell apart. I walked up to her with an unsure look on my face. I'm just being nice... I kept telling myself. That was a lie.
"H-Hello... I saw you're always alone and just wanted to say hi..." This was my first mistake. No, that's not true... My first mistake was even glancing at her.
"How nice of you," She replied with a smirk. That creeped me out even more. A few moments later I found myself in the situation of her asking me to walk with her...
I agreed. Mistake.
"Your such a nice girl," The temptress said. That was when the first moment of darkness crept in. Nice? I am not nice. I am pure- wait. Why was I thinking this? I blinked a few times and smiled.
"Thank you," I said quickly. I was trying to hide the writhing shadows beneath my skin. Trying to conceal it.
"Don't hide it. Don't cage it," She said.
"W-What are you talking about?" How could she know this...?
"I know what you're feeling. I understand. I helped place it there," She sat on a gravestone. I had been so caught up in my thoughts I hadn't noticed where we were going.
"You did this to me? Why?" My thoughts were jumbled enough that I couldn't see she now looked sad.
"Being the only one so twisted and insane in this town is lonely. I want... A feeling of belonging. I've seen others. I've seen you. How you look at me each day with curiosity," Suddenly the girl appeared in front of me with a desperate look on her face.                                                                                   "You already harbored some of the darkness. You're perfect! We can be friends! Friends forever!" The desperation became something more. She was frantic, insane. A horrible beauty.
"N-No! You're evil! You need help!" I backed away from the mad woman. She was... absolutely insane...
"No... Please don't leave me..." The girl curled into a ball on the ground. In despair or insanity, I couldn't tell.
"You need help. This isn't good," I wondered about the closest phone or house.
"B-But..." She stuttered slowly as if in a state of shattered confusion.
"Could it all be that bad?" she whispered.
