Nothing left to feel.
No reason left to pray.
I know it wasn't real.
But still my heart did sway.
Nothing left to think,
Nothing left to say.
We were both upon the brink.
We both surrendered the day.
Failing utterly to admit,
There was anything to hold, to touch,
To break us from the fray.
