Year by year, the trainees of the Intelligence Agencies both complete training to go on to be agents, or they are held back until they can pass their exams, if there was still a hope for them that is. The younger trainees started in their preteens, so they were saw as jokes and infants to their seniors. None of the preteen trainees passed the Agent Assessment with the minimum score. So that was only making them more of a laughing stock by the senior agents. Even their trainers laughed at their effort.

I am one of the preteen trainees, but I have not requested my AA yet, I want to be sure that I will pass with at least a minimum score. Oh, excuse my rudeness, my name is Lee Taemin. I did not choose to join on my own will. My family had never had a successful trainee of our family line to pass. They thought I would be the one to change that. That is also one reason I am mocked by my elders, and even some trainees. Laughing about my family not being strong or worthy enough to pass the AA.

I will change that reputation, and prove them wrong, prove my family is not worthless. I trained for years, and I know some of the instructors and seniors have seen me doing extra practice during rest hours we were allowed for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and sleeping. I eat only breakfast and sleep very little. Instructors have commented on it saying I should stop and rest, I always respectfully decline, saying I needed to train.

Everyone kept saying they dont see why I should do that since I was set for failure anyway. Ive been mainly training to be a group subordinate, that way my beginning job isnt too difficult compared to the trainees going for solo acts or leading positions. Maybe after a few years of experience I might consider a status change, but its best to start small for now.

Ive done better than most trainees in my level, so that was a promising sign. One afternoon, I was training during rest time when the director came in with my instructor. I stopped to bow in respect to stand quietly. "Why have you not applied for your AA yet?"

"I want to be at my best Sir, and I do not see myself fit for the Assessment yet."

"Well, youre going to take it right now."

"S-Sir?"

"One group just lost a member on a mission and youre the highest candidate right now with a few others. Theyve been second assessed already. Come along." I followed nervously. I was NOT ready for the Assessment! We usually get time of meditation beforehand. I looked down at my bracelet rosary, and prayed for success. We got to the AA field to be put on the start mark. "When we announce it, walk to the center of the field, then you may begin your test when the bell rings. Here are your weapons."

I was given a Glock, grappling hook, and rod. Not much, meaning this was going to be the hardest level possible. I saw several agents watching from the upper stadium levels, including the group that the Director was talking about, SHINee. I was told to go so I strapped the Glock to my thigh, with an empty magazine in it. The loaded one is in my sleeve.

I got to position and the buzzer sounded. I closed my eyes to focus, and I heard mutters saying I was too scared to move. Bingo, "gotcha!"

I jumped up to flip when an agent landed where I had been. I was quick to pull the rod to hit the one behind me and land the end on each of their spines, paralyzing them. The agents silenced in shock then one spoke, "how the hell did that kid do that?"
