The Glass Ceiling

Men and women walk the earth together, yet true equality has never been achieved

It is almost as if men are given a head start in life, through circumstance or greed

Leaving our female counterparts to work for less pay in the same careers

But I see no sane reason for women to be forced into such austere

After all, if there is truly such a thing as a workplace glass ceiling

Then this invisible barrier isn't just for women to be sealed in

As a ceiling to one is like a platform for another

A roof for a sister, a floor for a brother

But if the men were to smash down

As well as the women from below

Equality could come forth

A societal plateau
