I have been with my boyfriend Oli for around five months now and have I truly love being half ofthe incredible Seapeesound.However, today I am going to visit to Jack Massey-Welsh. He is someone who everyone in ourrelatively small town knows, as there are rumours he is a vampire - quite strong rumors,actually!Let me explain a little about the world I live in. Vampires, Vampire Hunters, etc. exist. They liveas they please and each have their own councils and laws, Vampires tend to live in solitude, soif Jack is a Vampire, he will be living in a very different way than Vampires now consider thenorm.So, now I have explained, lets get back to the story.I had been speaking to Jack online and he seems like someone I would like to be friends with,so I suggested to him we meet up. He said I could should visit him at his house, so I acceptedand we decided on today to meet. In truth, I don't care if he is a Vampire ot not."Oli" I called up the stairs, "I'm leaving for Jack's house now!""Okay " He said, coming down to see me off, "What time will you be back?""Around Six, I would imagine." I said, kissing his cheek.I opened the door, hearing Oli lock it behind me after I left and unlocked the car. I got in and putmy house keys in the passenger seat with my jacket.The drive was only around five minutes, but this was long enough for my mind to go intooverdrive. Autopilot took over for driving for the most part, although I did still pay attention to theroad, of course. I thought about the possibility of Jack being a Vampire, what it would mean forme - and everyone around me - if I befriended him if he was. I thought about every possibleoutcome for the evening and nearly turned and drove home. What if Jack bit me? What if hekilled me? What if he's normal? What if he is a Vampire and I end up with targets on my back?I shook these toxic thoughts off as I pulled into Jack's drive. I got out of the car and my jawdropped. His house was more like some kind of dark mansion! It was huge, intimidating andincredible. I realised I was staring at it and shook myself, walking up to the door and pushing thebell.I was scared as to weither or not Jack was acctually a Vampire - I had never met one before so Iwas worried about alot. His house made it seem as if he was, it was black and red with tintedwindows so dark they must not have let any light through at all.I rang the bell and Jack answered fairly quickly. He was very pale, like he never set foot insunlight. He had sunglasses on, he looked exactly like a Vampire."Hello? Earth to Callum?" Jack laughed, snapping out of the daze I didn't realize I was in."Sorry about that!" I apologised, rubbing the back of my neck sheepishly. "You have a lovelyhouse.""Oh, thanks! Come in, come in." He said, moving so I could get in. I looked around, his housewas full of Vampiric things."Jack, I have a question" I began nervously, just realising I felt the same way I do meeting himthan I did the first time I met Oli."Ask away my friend, ask away!" He responded with an encouraging smile."Are you a Vampire?" I blurted out."What if I said I was?" He asked with a closed-mouth smile."Then I'd ask if you are going to bite me." I admit nervously, fiddling with a ring Oli got me a fewmonths prior. At this point, I think I was more worried about his opinion of me than anythingelse! I couldn't help but want to talk to him for as long as I could."Well, I am a Vampire, Callum. But no, I am not going to bite you - not unless you want me to."He responded with a laugh and a smirk at the end that sent shivers down my spine.
