EXTENDED SUMMARY: Liz and Gert had been the closest of friends in middle school. Both girls were considered weird, but to each other, they were inseparable. Until Liz's wealthy family moves away. Gert never returned her calls, emails or letters.
Fast forward a few years, Liz moves back to her old house, across the street form the Yorkes. It's awkward as hell, especially since Gert tries to pretend they're still friends, even though she made no effort to contact Liz. In an effort, Liz tries to teach Gert to leave her alone, before finding out maybe she doesn't t want the purple haired girl to leave her alone.
NOTES:
— she's a badass mutant!! she can sense where people are, like thunderbird from the gifted! she discovers these powers when she moved, and doesn't tell anyone about them until the runaways are in danger, like the opposite of molly lmao
— liz's parents are apart of pride, and they moved to go on some sort of mission for pride.
— gert didn't call liz because she was scared of liz making new friends in her new town and didn't want to come between that
— liz thinks gert didn't call her because she didn't like liz, so there's a lot of tension between them
—liz made zero friends in her new town, but pretends she made a SUPER BIG AMOUNT to make gert jealous. this includes: pretending to talk to people on the phone, pretending to be dating, fake contacts
— they maybe sorta kind a kiss outta frustration, y'know, chaotic mutant lesbian and purple bisexual energy
