Reed's POV

An hour before   the tour

My brother and I walked up to the school, the sky still orange of early morning, the campus hasn't changed a bit. The scent of heather filled my lungs as we walked up to the front doors, on going students gazing in short glances at us. As soon as walk in, a punch of scents hit me. Teen hormones, perfume, Axe body spray, and something that doesn't belong here.

I glance at Ren and he seems to be taking this in as well, he looks at me in a confused but knowing face. I decide to ignore the strange scent for now and Ren and I start walking in strides to the south common room where we are supposed to meet a member of the student concil to take us on a tour of here. Even though we already know where everything is.

As we make our way to the south common room, moving through the herds of hormone filled teens, the scent gets stronger and starts forming into something else. Two auras, a new one and a familier one at that. We suddenly start moving in a slow jog, turning into a run as we near the commons. The exact place where the aura is coming from.

Strangely the students started to grow less and less as we near the south commons. It's only early morning but there should still be more students around here.

Then we reach the commons, steading my breath from the running while Ren is fine and glaring at someone ahead of
Us.
It was very quiet with no adolescents what so ever, this must be where they study and transition classes because of all the tables and chairs on each floor. Man it has changed.

I finally look at who or what Ren is staring at with fuming eyes. I stumble back a bit in shock, I was not expecting to see her ever again.

Her wavy dark blue to light green hair has grown over the years, her orange fire eyes glinted in the light, reflecting rage for the person standing before her. She crossed her arms over her chest and held her head up high in a prideful way. Ren stood up straighter and more in a I-might-just-lunge-at-you stance.

"Ren Syles, it's been a while. What brings you back here?" She said in an elegant way, surpressing her temper.
"Well, I didn't think I would see you ever again either, bitch," he said snarkily with a smirk, she growled at his response, gripping her arms tighter,"but I suppose you have to come home at some point, right? Anyways, what brings you back here Eris?"
"That's none of your concern."
"Oh, I bet, since you put up a barrier to keep the humans out."
She snarled at him.
"Don't bend my temper," she in a harsh tone, pointing a finger at him and stepping closer, "I put the barrier up for there own good, as soon as I sensed you come into the school and another aura I knew I had to do it for their own saftety."
I widened my eyes in surprise, and I bet Ren did too. She sensed the other aura too, and not only that, she kept my promise.

"So you sense it to then, huh, you've grown your powers a bit." Ren said steeping closer.

"Watch it asshole," she said stepping even closer with her temper rising even more; the two were right in front of eachother now,"you know what I'm capable of, and I know what both of you two are capable of too," she said this while looking in my direction, she really hasn't changed,"so if you don't want this to be messy then. Back. Off."

At this point they were neck and neck, I couldn't tell when they would lunge at eachother. Just when Ren was about to say something, most likely something even more snarky, a monotone voice cut him off.

"You guys are really loud. Also the barrier fell that the witch casted."

Ren and Eris stopped fighting abruptly and turned to face the voice, I turned quickly as well and looked at the person who had the unfamiliar aura.
