Second Day

It's a good thing you woke up early because you had A LOT to do today. Everything from cleaning higher employees rooms (like can they not do it themselves?) to God knows what else. So, you hurry up and put on your uniform which signified what kind of position you held as an employee (which you are starting to thing is just barely a glorified janitor) and got to work.

"Let's start by cleaning the higher ups first and work my way down," you said cheerfully.

The day was going great.  You had cleaned three rooms and were on your fourth. After this you had two more to go.

"Ms. Y/l/n?" You heard a voice from behind you. You quickly stood up and turned to face the voice.

"Yes, ma'am?" You asked with a respectful tone.

That's Moira O'Deorain. Talon council member and Geneticist, you thought.

"I was informed to tell you that you have a 30 minute lunch break. If you don't take it now, you'll have to wait until you finish your daily chores," she seemed less than pleases to tell you this.

"Okay, thank you," you looked around at how much room you had left to clean.

"Your answer? I need to record to the council members your choice. For what, I don't know," Moira said.

"I'll wait," you answered. You resumed cleaning. You were starving but you had work to do. It just now occurred that you had no eaten breakfast.

Oh, well, you thought.  Your thoughts quickly changed to something more pleasent.

That's was Moira! I can't believe I just met her. Even though she seemed less than pleased to meet me, but that's to be expected. She may be arrogant, but she's so damn pretty. Like who said...." and so your thoughts went on like this for quite a while.

Finally, you had finished your duties and turned in your "to-do" list to the receptionist and walked back to your quarters.

Your stomach growled. You still hadn't eaten anything. To your luck, you had just missed the dinner hours for the cafeteria. When you opened your door, there were sheets, a quilt, a pillow, and some Chinese take out on your desk.

Was that desk there before? You thought. You didn't know who did this act of kindness, but you are extremely grateful for them.
