"I could've walked up the stairs by myself" I said as Chris carried me "And if you drop me, we're fighting"
"The doctor said take it easy for a few days, I'm just following doctors orders" we arrived at my door
"Felix, open up" Chris used his foot to knock
A few moment later, Felix opened the door.
"Y'all disgust me" he chuckled, seeing that Chris was holding me
"Hello to you too" I playfully rolled my eyes as Chris sat me on the couch
"I'm so glad you're ok" he hugged me "How's the baby?"
"The baby is fine" I grinned, placing my hand on my stomach
"You need anything? Water? You hungry? You cold? Hot? Need your feet rubbed?" Chris asked
"I'm fine babe" I chuckled "Sit down and relax yourself."
"Damn, I forgot to get your vitamins from the store"
"It's ok, I can get them later. You haven't had any sleep in like two days, go relax yourself" I said, seeing bags under his eyes
"You sure?" He asked
"Yes babe, I'm gonna talk to Felix for a while"
"Alright." He bent down and kissed me
"He's just going to lay down, y'all ain't gotta swallow each other's faces 24/7" Felix butted in
When we pulled away, Chris scrunched his face up at him "Shut up" we said in unison
After Chris went to lay down, me and Felix started talking
"I don't think I'ma take the job." He said
"No, you gotta take it"
"What if something like this happens again and I'm not around? You're my best friend, I need to be here for you" he said
"Chris will make sure that nothing happens to me again. Trust me" I held his hand "Take the job, it's your dream"
"You sure?"
"Positively sure" I pecked his cheek
He let out a huge sigh of relief "Woo! I'm glad you said that. I kinda already told them I'd be back next week"
"I knew it" I playfully hit him
"I love you, babycakes" he hugged me
"I love you too" I hugged back "Now go busy yourself, I wanna go cuddle with my man" I shooed him off
"Oop! Just kicking me to the curb" he stood up "Bye lil peanut" he said to my tummy
"That will not be my child's nickname" I got up
"Uh-huh, all the bad kids names are peanut"
"What makes you think my baby's gonna be bad?" I walked him to the door
"Chris is his father" he straight faced me
"Bye Fe" I shook my head
"Byeee" he said before leaving
Once he was gone, I locked the door then headed to the room with Chris
"I got it already" He was sitting on the side of the bed, lowly talking on the phone "Yeah nigga" he chuckled
"Hey baby" I made it known I was in the room since he didn't see me
"I'ma call you back" he said before hanging up
"Who was that? You hung up on them pretty fast" I stood between his legs
"Sean. He was complaining about Benji trying to bite him" he chuckled
"Sean's out of the hospital?" I asked
"Yeah, I've been letting him stay at my place until he shakes back" he rubbed my hips
"That's nice of you" I pecked his lips "Can you be even nicer and go get Benji?"
"I'll get him later. I just wanna lay up with you right now" he laid down "Come lay with ya man"
"Don't gotta tell me twice" I climbed in the bed and snuggled into his chest
He feels so warm and comfortable, yet secure.
"How are we gonna make a nursery for the baby when we don't stay together?" I asked, playing with his fingers
"We'll figure it out, babe. I got us, trust me" he pecked my forehead
"I wanna have us too. I love you, but I don't wanna depend on you 24/7. We're in this together"
"I hear you" he said "Now say it again"
"What?" I smirked, knowing what he wanted me to say
"The part about you loving me" he put one hand behind his head and grinned
"I love you, I love you, I love you" I now straddled him
"I love you" he smiled "And I love you too, lil peanut" he rubbed my belly
There goes that damn name again
"Ugh" I groaned, getting up to pee
"What?" He laughed from the room
