Mars

Winter, Year: 2248

From afar, the inhabitants of the red planet saw a pale object, which only appeared to be a small dot from a distance, glide across the sapphire lit sky.

As it drew closer towards the sandy surface of the planet, heaps of smoke could be seen following it like a tail of some sort. Inside was 15 year old, a Zurakian fugitive who was on the lam. She braced for impact as her rocket collided with Mar's ground! There was a loud thud and silence. Suddenly, Nano climbed out, holding her sides from the unbearable pain that stung her body.

Some of the inhabitants started to leave, whisking away their youths in fear of this newfound stranger. Others watch, intrigued by her grand entrance.

To their surprise, the young Zurakian managed to stand, not completely though. She sat up on her knees, facing the blue sun that was setting in the distance.
"Mars," She breathed before falling from exhaustion...

Her eyes snapped opened.

She heard noise. It was as if someone was talking but speaking another language. The girl sat up to see two Martians standing over her. One had her bag, while the other inspected her.
"Gimme that!" She yells, pulling the bag away. When she looked inside, it was empty.

"What the--?" She started, glancing up to see the two Martians sprinting in the opposite direction quite hastily with her stolen belongs.

"Hey, what the heck!" She yelled, spitting out curses at the Martians as they continued to run away.
"Great..." She sighs, slipping on her backpack.

Around her were mounds of sand. Besides that, there was nothing but empty space above her & miles of what looked like vast deserts. Gripping onto the straps of her backpack, she headed towards what she hoped was a friendly civilization.

She carried on, hiking through the sandy dunes and vast opening. "Sheesh, how big is this desert...?" She muttered to herself, shivering a bit from coldness that sent chills down her spine. After what seemed about half an hour, she was finally greeted with the sight of buildings. She was hesitant to enter the city at first, but after realizing she had no choice, considering she is a fugitive, she carried on in.

Bustling crowds of people and advanced androids passed by her. 'Why is this place so obnoxiously loud?' She thought, while pulling her hood up to cover her face more. While strolling through the busy streets of the Martian city.

"You, there, traveler!" The young *Zurakian heard (*that's the name of her species, Zurakian), and glanced up to see a Martian chef standing behind a counter. He was holding an earth-like creature, one that was dead.

"Come over and try one of Chanae's finest animals, fish!" He exclaimed, grinning from ear to ear as he held the finned animal towards Nano's face. She only showed displeasure towards it by pinching her nose and pushing it away from her. The chef frowned at her reaction.
