Imagine that you're with your best friend (let's call her Rachel), getting ready to go to the One Direction concert at the Molson Amphitheatre. You're in front of your closet, stumped, at what to wear. After all, who knows? Maybe you'll bump into one of the boys. You'd obviously want to look your best, right?

"RACHELLLLLLLL!!!!!!!" you scream.

"What is it, (y/n)?" she says, coming into your room, looking flawless, as always. A crop top that says J'adore, and a long, chunky owl necklace from XXI, jean shorts from Garage with a white braided belt, also from Garage, and white TOMS with her naturally wavy hair, bouncing around her shoulders. Just the perfect amount of make-up; some slightly visible white eye shadow, and mascara, with the slight touch of lip gloss. You don't understand why she even puts on make-up -- it's not like she needs it or anything. At school, she has all the guys falling at her feet, and all the girls want to be her. She's the most popular girl in school, but unlike you see in the movies, with the popular girls all b*tchy and all, she's the sweetest girl you'll ever meet. Totally cliché, right? You feel so lucky to have known her all your life.

"I don't know what to wear" you slightly frown.

She heads over and goes into your large, walk-in closet. That's probably your favourite thing about your room. The closet's enormous, stocked with tons of clothes that still have the tags on them. After a few minutes of muttering and shifting through your choices, she comes out with a white, lacy cropped tank top with a hot pink cami and a LOVE necklace from XXI, jean shorts from Hollister with a white braided belt identical to the one she has on from Garage, and your black Louboutin Flanana flats sandal.

"Here, put these on" she says, tossing them to you. That's another thing that awes you about her -- the fact that she can put together a perfect outfit flawlessly in just a few minutes. It would've taken you forever to just find those things through all the drawers. She leaves and closes the door to your closet so that you can change in there. Once you look at yourself in the full-length mirror, you exit. You look good, but of course, not as good as Rach.

"Oh my goodness!!! (y/n)!!!!!" she squeals.

"Do I really look that bad?" you ask

"NO!!! You look so amazing babe!" she squeals. "C'mon! I'm going to make you even more gorgeous thank you already are... If that's possible!" she laughs, dragging you to your dresser, and sitting you down in front of the mirror. "I mean, if the boys see you, they'll start fighting over you! And, y'know, if they can't fall head over heels for you, we'll get some guys to do that instead!" she giggles.

"Oh my god. Rachel, are you blind? Have you seen yourself today? ANY DAY?" you ask.

"Yeah... but then there's you..." she says, oblivious to the fact of how gorgeous she truly is.

After 10 more minutes of eye shadow, eyeliner, lip gloss, and straightening, you hear her squeal in delight. "Okay! I'm officially a genius. You're the hottest girl alive, right now. LOOK!" she says, getting out of the mirror, finally allowing you to see yourself.

"Oh..." you say. You're never really conceited or anything. Of course, you've heard that you have a nice body and that you're pretty before, and it's not like you think you're ugly, but you've never been anything compared to Rachel. Now, you two look equally amazing, and the girl you see in the mirror is not someone you recognize.

Rachel truly is a genius. Your now straightened hair hangs perfectly around your face, cascading around it elegantly like a water fall. Your eyes look larger than ever, with the eyeliner perfectly drawn on subtley. That's the difference with you two. Rachel has perfect, large eyes, so she uses mascara, while you have long, dark lashes, but average looking eyes, so you use eyeliner. She'd taken a light pink for the eye shadow and gently brushed it across, all the way to the top of your eyelids. The lip gloss she'd added completed the look, giving off a soft glow about yourself. To be honest, you really did look amazing right now.
