Evan put his phone down and looked torwards his closet, he should probably try to look decent.. nah.

Evan walked torwards his closet and grabbed a pastel blue sweater that had small white stars printed on it, he also grabbed a pair of black jeans and slipped both of them on. He looked at himself in the mirror, good enough.

Evan stepped into the worn out, black jeep, Hamilton was on full blast, and Conner was turnt

"HAMILTON AT THE CONSTITUTIONAL CONVENTION-"

Evan smiled to himself and continued where Conner left off

"I was chosen for the constitutional convention!"

"THERE AS A NEW YORK JUNIOR DELEGATE" Conner sang at the top of his lungs

"Now what I'm gonna say may sound indelicate" Evan responded giggling slightly

Conner laughed and glanced torwards Evan, seeing the smile on his face, it absolutely melted his heart

Conner pulled up to the small tea shop, in large bubble letters it stated "Bubble Bear" both Conner and Evan stepped into the store, the store was a mix of pastel greens and pink, the counter was lined with fake bamboo and there were fairy lights hanging from the walls.

"Welcome to Bubble Bear! What can I get for you?"

Conner glanced at the menu and chose the first thing he saw

"Uh can I just get a mango smoothie?"

"Sure! And you?"

"U-um just a T-Thai milk tea please"

"Okay those will be right out! It'll be $7.56"

Conner reached into his pocket and put a 10 dollar bill on the table, the cashier smiled and handed him the change, he dropped the change in the tip jar and sat down at a table, Evan followed and picked at his cast. Conner studided Evans outfit

"O-Oh um thank y-you"

Oh fuck he said that out loud

"Oh f- heck I said that out loud didn't I"

"Y-Yeah you did" Evan responded

The lady at the front desk happily walked over and set their drinks down, returning to the front desk. Conner, deciding to ignore what just happened, tried to make conversation

"So Hansen, I don't think I've asked yet, how'd you break your arm?"

Conner took a sip of his drink and watched as a flash of panic flooded Evans features

"I- I uhm, was climbing this tree and I um, accidentally, y'know uh l- s-slipped, y-yeah.." Evan stuttered, it was honestly a mess

Conner looked at Evan confused but shrugged it off. They both eventually finished their drinks with bits of small talk in between.

They both stepped out of the small shop, the cool air hitting them, it was almost fall, the time where the trees are beautiful and the apples are ripe.
