A/n: So, instead of preparing myself for applications; this is what I decided to do. I found a post on the internet that sort of inspired this.

Have you ever wished upon a star? Almost everyone has, it's one of those childish things that you do. Normally you would wish for money, fame, happiness, etc.

But, what if what you were wishing on weren't stars; but satellites? Imagine, even for a moment, that sometimes your wishes are logged and recorded. And stretch it even further; what if days, weeks, months, or years from now, an agent is assigned to grant that wish.

No matter what it may be.

These agents are trained since day one to follow orders to the T. It's a very tricky business, and not everyone is cut-out for it. If that happens... Well... Things can get messy--but that's a different time, different story. For now, let's focus on one special case.

"Worker number 1098342!" The manager yelled in a authoritative tone.

A young man with dark hair wearing a baggy blue jump suit rushed over from his desk. "Yes sir!" He answered loudly, standing at attention.

"I have a wish for you," the manager in red replied, taking a single sheet of paper out of a thick black binder.

The young man's eyes went wide with both excitement and surprise, but he quickly hid it. "Thank you, sir! I will make sure to do my best, sir!"

The manger nodded in approval and handed him the paper. "This is all the information you will need." And with that, the manager left.

The agent stood there emotionless and unmoving until he was sure the manager was away. As soon as he was gone, his face broke into a goofy grin. He happily walked to his desk and started reading through the paper.

His smile almost immediately faded.

The dark haired man couldn't believe his eyes; what kind of child wishes for something like that? Was this a fluke? A mistake maybe? He quickly dismissed that idea, they don't make mistakes.

"Whatcha got there, Sam?" A co-worker asked him.

"O-oh, nothing, nothing. Just a wish is all." Sam was stumbling over his words, a bit put-off by what he had just read.

"Lucky!" They wined, "What do you get to do while the rest of us rot?"

Sam felt uneasy about telling the truth; so instead he said that it was just a kid wishing for fortune. The co-worker laughed and returned to their desk after a few more minutes of lighthearted conversation. By this time, Sam had decided to see if he could forfeit this mission.
