chapter 9 - time for change

★ Bethany’s POV ★

“You know Mitchell?” I said looking towards Ben

“Yeah … and?” he said smirking at me, I suddenly felt myself going red,

“oh. My. God. You like Mitchell Overton!” he said jumping up in front of me,

“maybe” I said looking at the ground,

“give me your phone now.” He said putting his hand in front of me

“okay” I gave him my phone. 5 minutes later he gave it back, I unlocked it and checked my recent apps to see what Ben had been doing, 3 apps were open;

1)    contacts – he had added Mitchell to my contacts

2)    imessage – he had message Mitchell saying “hey, its Bethnay from earlier J”

3)    instagram – he had posted a picture of himself captioned “@macklemore is actually the best person on this planet – no frape ;)”

“seriously?” I said looking at him,

“what?” he said looking very innocent

“macklemore is the best person on this planet – are you serious?” I said laughing at him.

“what? Its true” he said rasining his hands defencivly.

“okay okay, lets get to the taxi” I said dragging him towards the airport exit.

“Tricia, Ryan, Ella, Jackie were gonna go get in the taxi” ben said shuoting to them,

“okayyy” they all said.

*Half an Hour Later*

★ Ben’s POV ★

As we all walked into the hotel, and stepped up to the reception we were shown to our rooms – Bethany and Ella would be sharing a 2 person single room and me and tricia had the biggest room out of us all. Ryan and Jackie were just across the hallway from us too.

“Once you’ve all dropped your bags off come over to mine and Trish’s room.” I said to the whole crew.

5 minuets later almost everyone was in our room, then Mitchell burst in,

“sorry sorry sorry,” he said,

“where were you?” Bethany said laughing at him,

“umm … toilet break” he said rubbing his neck looking at the ground. He then sat down next to Bethany.

We all spent the next hour just hanging out until Ryan silenced everyone,

“PEOPLE” everyone looked over at him,

“I want to change the set list for the shows” he said standing u and walking over to the table grabbing a pen and paper,

“why?” Zach asked him

“I don’t know, we have new members of the crew why not throw in some new songs and make the show a little different.” He said sitting back down next to Jackie, me, tricia, Jackie, ella and Bethany all agreed with him

“Why don’t we all write down our favorite song from any of the albums, language of my world - the heist, Fallin – Jimmy Iovine.” I said,

“Then we will pick the names out of hat” I continued, I then passed around some paper and everyone wrote a song down, I decided that I would put otherside because you can’t go to a macklemore & ryan lewis show without wanting to see otherside perform, and that song had a lot of emotional meaning to me.

“alright, papers in the hat” ryan shouted collecting everyones papers,

“and the new M&RL set list is…” he said standing infront of everyone

“Ten Thousand Hours, Thrift Shop, White Walls, Cant hold us, Same Love, Life is Cinema, Otherside, Starting Over, Love song, Stay at home Dad, Make The Money, Crew Cuts, Irish Celebration, Victory Lap, And we danced, My Language” Ryan announced to the room.

“I like the sound of that!” I said,

“me to” Ryan Said.

“I cant wait for this tour!” Jason said.
