The smaller sinks his teeth into his bottom lip, accepting his fate and hoping to find some indifference to Jungkook's words. He sighs audibly, feeling more than just a bit uncomfortable.

"We started talking more, and at first I was confused. Why did he text me? Why is he interested in carrying a conversation with me, when I know I'm not good at holding one? But, then it all started to make sense. This boy I'd always seen as outgoing and happy, beautiful and kind, for some reason he liked me. Me. He didn't know how much I liked him, too."

Jimin's breathing shallows as he remains silent. He lays his arms at his sides and feels his body relaxing, his limbs feeling light instead of weighted. Jungkook takes a breath beside him and he shudders. The fingers on his belly continue their rounds.

"Eventually we confessed, and then we started falling in love. It happened so fast, I couldn't keep up with all of the changes, but his heart was stronger than mine. When I wanted to decide it was over, when I felt like I couldn't bare the weight of my own mistakes, or my own emotions, he shared with me his strength until I could see every single thing he claimed worth fighting for to keep us together. I began to understand, through trials we faced together, that there wasn't another way for the two of us to be. Together, always together. That's our fate, me and my love.

"He showed me who I should be, who I am. He taught me how to love and how to laugh. He gave me friends and happiness and purpose. He gave me him and there is nothing else that I could ever want in this world. There's nobody else that I could ever want to hold and to protect, to risk my life for. To share my own strength with. There is nobody else that I could ever look at the way that I look at him. He is the only one worthy of that look in my eyes when I see him. He's the only one that will ever deserve every ounce of love I carry. He's the only one I will ever need to love."

Jungkook shuffles closer, his smile faded as he presses his nose against Jimin's shoulder. His heart tightens before he mutters his words. "But, sometimes, he forgets that I love him this much. Sometimes he doesn't believe me when I say that I'm never going to leave him, and he doesn't know that I blame myself for helping him think that I ever could. I can't, but I helped him believe that I might. I left him alone when it was cold, when his mind was as dark as the sky. That's another one of my mistakes, but even when I hurt him or make him feel alone, I won't let him go. I won't stay away from him, even if he wants me to. I will find him, follow him. I will make it better, no matter what that means. I will give him my strength and all of my love. Do you know why?"

Jimin squeezes his eyes shut, retracting his expression and holding his breath for as long as he can. It whispers past his lips in a soft hiss, sucking back in sharply as his heart drops into his stomach. "W-why?" He stumbles on the question. He can't hold back his genuine interest in the answer he knows will sound just as heavy as the rest of Jungkook's story.

Jungkook takes his hand from Jimin's stomach and places it on the smaller boys cheek, guiding the others stare straight into his. Their eyes meet when Jimin opens his curiously and Jungkook smiles again. "Because, he deserves it. He's worth it. Because, I love him unconditionally. Do you know what that means?"

"To love somebody unconditionally?"

"Mm." Jungkook nods.

Jimin feels his bottom lip shaking, his tired eyes starting another round of blinking back traitor tears when his mind argues for him to find indifference. He can't. That voice, it hisses its string of hateful words again and again. Background noise. Unconditional love is only found in movies, but Jungkook's eyes show his words clearly written in the twinkle of his irises. Jungkook's eyes always disagree with that voice inside his head that he's so tired of listening to. Jungkook's eyes look like a movie on a screen, full of promise and a happy ending. His happy ending. Unconditional love. "It means-" He moves his stare down towards Jungkook's jawline, following its angle for a moment until his eyes lower and find the man's prominent collar bone. He's watching with cloudy eyes, but he finds beauty in Jungkook's every edge and curve. Jimin whimpers, the gears in his mind rusted and screeching as they turn. "It means that you love somebody, no matter what they do. If you love me like that-"

"I love you like that."

"You-" Jimin turns on his side, small fingers reaching forward to almost touch Jungkook's shirt. He wants to touch him. He wants to lean into the warm chest that invites him. He feels it's pull, Jungkook's love surrounding him, the man's arms so close to curling around his body and making him feel safe again. "You know what I did. I didn't tell you, I told you the biggest lie."

"I love you, no matter what you do."

"But, you were angry. You left me."

Jungkook takes in a sharp breath, bitterly nodding. "You don't have to forgive me for that."

Jimin's eyes shoot up, folded in offense. "No, I do. I just-"

"I hurt you, when you needed me." Jungkook whispers. He licks his bottom lip and takes it between his teeth, exhaling through his nose. "I let you down, so it's okay if you get angry because of that."

"I'm not angry, Jungkook." Jimin retorts, his fingers finally finding Jungkook's shirt. He flattens his hand over the others chest, feeling the heat from it course through his veins. "I- I'm not angry, because that was the end. I thought."

Jungkook whines, shaking his head. "No, no. There's no end, Jimin."

"But, I don't know why!" The smaller cries now. His voice breaks as his fingers close around the fabric under his hand. "You have no idea how confused I feel. I- I did so many things, all at once and now you know everything and you-"

"I love you." Jungkook wraps his hand around Jimin's clenched fingers around his shirt. He doesn't pull them away, instead leaning his face closer to Jimin's and he whispers the words again that he's said a thousand times or more. "I love you. Nothing you say, or do changes that."

"Even if I'm dirty?"

"You're not dirty."

Jimin shakes his head. "Even if I lied?"

"Even if you lied."

"E-even if I forget that you love me?"

Jungkook's eyes grow sad, but a glimmer of hope makes them shine. "I'll keep reminding you."

Jimin lets out a shaky breath, sniffing back tears and trying to clear his runny nose. He feels Jungkook's hand leave his own to wipe away more tears on his cheeks and Jimin takes the chance to snake his arm around the man's waist, nudging his wet face free from Jungkook's hand to instead bury it in the tallers chest. Those long arms hold his shoulders, like a familiar and warm reflex. "Won't you get tired?" Jimin mutters. He presses one of his legs against Jungkook's, leaning himself into the feeling of being held. "What if I can't ever remember how it feels to not be broken, baby?"

The taller drops his face into the soft ruffles of Jimin's hair. His heart breaks again over the others crumbled frame, heart bleeding from his words. He pulls Jimin into the tightest, warmest and most adorning hug he can offer, hoping for his unconditional love to show itself in a feeling. "I can heal you, Mochi. Just, trust me. I will take it all away."

"How?"

Jungkook's lips press slow, continuous kisses atop Jimin's head. He breathes his warm breath into the strands of the smallers hair. "I'm going to love you through it."

A/N: How would you guys describe unconditional love? A question, because I think it's one of those emotions quite hard to explain without sounding dramatic or incredibly cheesy. But this story is pretty dramatic, right? Maybe cheesy, too.. heh
