It's always the goddamn tree

'I know that look, Will. You don't believe me. Well I know things that you don't! There's a witch involved too! Anna told me, she has a beloved and he's my brother's protector. He's a prisoner!' Lily was trying to convince me, but I just couldn't believe her. I wanted to, I really did, but Alexander told me the truth and it didn't seem like he was forced into anything.

'Lily, your brother is on their side, whether you like it or not! You can't save him from himself.' After I told her that, she was one pissed off looking hybrid. If this was a cartoon, steam would come out of her ears.

'Fine. Don't help me, but don't expect me to come back to you then!' she spat. That said, she ran out the door and didn't even look back once. My heart just shattered into a thousand pieces. What had I done?

'Well done, Will. I'm so proud of you!' Kaiden said with a whole lot of sarcasm.

'Just shut up, yeah will you!' I snarled back. I ran outside, but there was no trace of Lily.

Lily's p.o.v

'Come on, Anna, we have to leave now! We have to get to no man's land before Will tracks my scent.' I was worried that we wouldn't get away in time. Will was clearly not going to help me. I didn't care, I could do it on my own just as easily.

'Where do you girls think you're going?' I heard a girl's voice behind me and I quickly turned around. Helen was standing behind me with her armes crossed. She raised her eyebrows at me, waiting for an answer.

'I'm going to get my brother. Don't try to stop me because I will go through with my plan.' I warned her and she smirked.

'I'm not going to stop you. I'll go with you, can't let the luna get hurt now, can I! By the way, I'm in for some adventure, I haven't fought a wolf in a very long time.' She was already walking towards the forest.

'Are you coming or not?' she looked at the both of us. Anna and I looked at each other and nodded. We followed Helen and took off to no man's land to get my brother.

Sophie's p.o.v

After the attack my brother had sent me, Fiona and Fione to collect the bodies of the members that died during the attack. I couldn't recognise any of the bodies anymore. Pieces of flesh were missing and heads lay at the other side of the meadow. Fiona looked at me with disgust. She didn't want to do this either, but this was the responsibility that came with being the pack doctor.

The weird thing was that all the bodies were scattered aroung one big tree. Underneath the tree was nothing. I walked up to the tree while Fiona and Fione were burning the bodies that were severely damaged and couldn't be taken back to the pack house without falling apart. There was a note lying at the roots of the tree. I grabbed it and read it.

Dear Lily,

I know you're here and I hope someone of your pack finds this note. I'm not helping Stephan, I swear. He has got some witch and she used a spell to track me. They lured me. Stephan is forcing me to create a weapon to kill you with the help of Katherine, the witch.

I'm so sorry, Lily. For everything. I hope one day we can be a family again without having to worry about all of this! Please don't come for me.

I had to get this note to Will as soon as possible. He had to know about this. I turned around, only to see Fiona and Fione knocked out. Their hands were tied behind their backs with iron handcuffs. I wanted to lay the note back where I found it, but a hand grabbed my wrist.

'You can give that to me, thank you very much,' a man's voice said. He smirked and grabbed the note. He read it and then one of his men walked up to him with a lighter. He put it underneath the piece of paper and burned it.

'No!' I yelled, but of course they didn't stop. They didn't even seem to care I was standing there. I tried to free my wrist, but the man was too strong.

'Where do you think you're going, little one?' he asked me and grabbed me tighter. I didn't answer his question, I just death glared him.

'You're not really the one we're looking for, but that doesn't matter. You could still come in handy, especially with your brother being the alpha and Lily's mate.' Three men were standing around Fiona and Fione. They were still knocked out and there was nothing I could do for them.

'Will, Will, answer me!' I said through mind-link without hearing any response. 'Goddammit Will, listen to me or so help me I will kill you if I get back alive!' He still didn't answer and I was getting really frustrated.

'Who are you anyway?' I asked the man who was holding me. I had to buy myself some time so that Will could answer me.

'I'm Gregory Eskavet, but you can call me Greg, sweetheart.' I almost puked at the thought of him calling me sweetheart. I struggled in his arms. Come on Will answer me!

'Sophie, what's wrong, I heard you through...' I couldn't hear him anymore. At first I didn't know why, but they I noticed it became darker and darker and I fell deeper and deeper into a black night without stars.

Fred's p.o.v

I felt horrible for what I had done. The moment I took that bite, I killed my sister. The witch had written a note on my command. I wanted Lily to know I wasn't on our father's side. I would never side with him, that sick bastard!

Katherine and I were back in our cell. It wasn't very smart to put us both in one cell, but we didn't care. We weren't going to tell them to seperate us, this was exactly what we wanted. We could create a plan to save Lily and if I was lucky, it would save me as well. Of course Lily had to be safe first! The last time the plan only worked out for me. Me and Timothy could outrun them, but Lily stayed behind. God now I thought about Timothy, I really missed him. He had become my best friend over the years and now he wasn't here to help me like he always did. I had ordered him to take over my command over the lynx pack when I was away and so he did. He knew that the witch used a spell to get me to Stephan, but he couldn't do shit about it. He told me he would find a way and that's the last time I saw him.

'Reminiscing?' the witch asked me. I nodded and turned away from her. She didn't have to see my tears. I wasn't crying for Timothy though. It was for Lily. I didn't know whether she was safe or not and I couldn't deal with that fear. I screamed as loud as I could and when Katherine heard my screams, it scared the living shit out of her.

'Shh, it's ok, it's all going to be ok,' she whispered. I couldn't stop screaming though. I hated him so much. I wanted to kill him, torture him, feed him to my pack, everything that would end up with him screaming and begging for forgiveness. And when he was begging, I would rip his tongue out. He wouldn't be able to scream anymore. No one would ever have to listen to his commands anymore. I think I would do the world a favor by killing him. Wait no, I didn't think that, I knew it. That's what I was going to do. Once Katherine had executed her plan, I would have the chance to do all these horrible things to make him pay for what he did to my beloved sister.

'Are you ok now? I get that you're frustrated, but you can't show them that, Fred. If they find out that your love for Lily is your weakness, they will do anything to make you think that they hurt her!' Katherine put her hands on my cheeks and positioned herself on my lap. Before I knew what she was doing, she kissed me on the lips and the worst thing was that I didn't even have the power to push her away so I just let her kiss me.

My thoughts went to my mate. What would she think if she saw this?

Here's the new chap! :D Sorry it took me so long, but exams are next week and god I hate them!!

I don't know if you remember Greg, but for the one's who don't: he was the rogue that killed Maryse, Lily's mom. I just thought I would make that clear :)

I'm also planning on writing the mating scene from chapter: A little party never killed nobody. I didn't write the whole scene because I just couldn't, but I got some help from a friend of mine. So tomorrow or Friday, I will upload the mating scene between Will and Lily ;)
