The next day we were all at the sandlot just talking, then we see Yeah Yeah And Squints walking near us, but they were fighting, Benny got up to talk to them

"Where've you been we've been waiting for you to get here!" He said

"Squints was pervin a dish!" He said handing a baseball to Benny

"Shut up!" Squints yelled "I wasn't"

"Yeah yeah you was!" Squints yelled "your tongue was hanging out of your mouth and you were swooning!! 'Oh Wendy Puffercorn, my darling lover girl!'"

"I said shut UP!" Squints yelled

"Who's Wendy Puffercorn?" I asked

"Squints' lover girl!" Yeah Yeah teased

I rolled my eyes

"Benny, this pop ain't working, it's so hot here!" Ham complained

"Yeah it's 150 degrees out there, we gotta call it off for the day!" Squints Said

"Yeah he's right!" Bertram agreed

"Vote then!" Benny said "whoever wants to be a Can't hacket pantywaist, who wears their Mama's bra, raise your hand!" He said then everyone raised their hand

"Uhh I already wear a bra, so am I automatically disqualified?" I asked as the others laughed

"Well what do you wanna do?" Benny asked as I got up

"I say we go to the pool" I Said "all in favor, raise your hand" I Said and everyone raised their hand

"Sorry Benny" I said "I turned your boys against you!"

"Oh is that how it is /L/N/?!" He asked shaking his head and laughing

"Yeah!" I Said

"Ugh, stop talking and let's get going!" Ham complained

We went home got in our bathing suits and came back to the pool, as soon as we got there we jumped in, but Ham walked around to where all the ladies were sun bathing, he waved at them and blew kisses and stuff which made me cringe

"CANNON BALL!!!!" He yelled and jumped in the pool

I laughed so hard when the girls got up and left, then I felt someone staring at me, I turn around and Benny couldn't keep his eyes off me, I laughed and blushed a bit before walking over to him

"Close your mouth Benny" I said "you'll catch flies" I walked past him and closed him mouth for him

Then we saw the other boys on the other side of the pool making goo goo eyes at, who I assumed was Wendy Puffercorn, then Squints pushed the others out of the way

"I can't take this anymore!" He yelled

"What's he doing?" I asked Benny

We watched as he climbed onto the diving board

"I don't know I think he finally snapped, but Squints can't swim!" He yelled

Then without any hesitation he jumped off

"SQUINTS!!!!" We all yelled in unison and swam towards him

I think Wendy saw our distress and dived in to "save" Squints, we all got out of the pool and went over to where he was, and we saw Wendy bring him up to the surface and laid him on the ground and did CPR

the group was freaking out saying stuff like "get up Squints" "pull through Squints!" We were just freaked out, then we saw Squints OPEN HIS EYES!!
