"Arthur this is Glen. Can you say hello?" she asked him as he stood between her legs, his arms resting on her legs as she ran her hand through his hair.
"You were mean to my mummy earlier. I don't like you. No one can hurt or be mean to my mummy." He told Glen and Kate couldn't help but tilt her head back and pinch the bridge of her nose. So this was the matter with him. He was mad at Glen before he'd even been introduced to him. Looking back down at her son she could see him glaring at Glen, out of the corner of her eye she could see the surprise on Glen's face.
"I'm sorry Arthur, I didn't mean to." Glen apologised locking eyes with Kate who could only give him a proud smirk. "You in looks, me in personality." she almost thought out loud. Looking into his eyes, he seemed to be thinking along the same lines.
"Mummy are you mad at him?" Arthur asked her as he cupped her head between his hands, his nose resting against hers. "No." she half lied. Of course, she was still mad at Glen. She hadn't gotten any answer or maybe half answers. Well, they certainly had a lot to discuss and talk about.
"You're not going to yell at mummy anymore?" Arthur asked Glen as he rested his hands on his hips. Kate couldn't help but smother a snort as he resembled her so much when he did that.
"I promise," Glen said with a smile on his lips. "Good or I'll tell uncle Will and uncle Harry that you were mean to mummy, they don't like that," he told his to him unknowning father. Patting her son on the back in the direction of his corner, she watched him pick up a book and sit down in his small sized armchair.
"He is so much like you when he did that." Glen chuckled, shaking his head a little. He couldn't even get over the fact that this little guy was his, their son. They'd only made love once with the promise of more later once they reunited outside of Greece. But it never happened their more to come, but it turned out that the one time had been enough for him to get the woman he loved pregnant. He'd loved their lovemaking, it was intimate, loving, touching and so deep. It felt as if their souls had connected and he'd never forgotten about it.
"He is, he's a great kid," she told him as she rose and walked up to the kitchen around the corner. "We're having Salmon tonight," she informed him as she got the stuff from the fridge, whilst keeping an eye on Arthur.
"Great." he grinned as sat down at the kitchen island, watching his son as he went through his book. Glen though couldn't help himself from scanning the pictures. There were so many with the Royals. George and Arthur together as a baby in the arms of their new mothers. Both of them holding their newborn sons. In some pictures, William was sat beside Catherine. But Kate had mostly no one on her side, once in a while he'd see Harry beside her or other people he didn't know, except for Mia.
"They were basically friends the moment they were born," Kate noted as she saw Glen staring at all the picture around the house. Her eyes fell on the same picture as Glen, Kate had gone to see Catherine, George and Will hours after they'd come home. "Apparently." he chuckled, getting up to go and study the pictures from a bit closer. They were from Birthday, Special occasions, random pictures, them on Holiday. Then he came across one of the women he loved, heavily pregnant beside an equal heavily pregnant Catherine, surrounded by gifts. He assumed it must have been their baby shower. 'God they must be really close for them to share a baby shower.' he thought to himself as he saw the group picture, even the Queen had been there as Kate and Catherine sat on a chair, their bumps cradled by their hands.
"She was my first friend here in a way outside of work. We shared our pregnancy, motherhood. We created a bond through it all it. Beside Mia she's my best friend." she told him as he nearly jumped through the ceiling not having heard her walk up to him.
