I love you in whispers
And in silent songs
Though you may not hear it
It still goes on
I love you in the shadows
For the light shines
On all our mistakes
And brings forth from us pained cries
I love you in the cold
Where we need each other's flesh
To keep the fire in our veins
And turn our hearts to ash
I love you in the silence
A deafening roar in our ears
Only half-there in existence
Confirming our worst fears
I love you in the emptiness
For our love is undefined
A hopeless love, this is
For the Fates are unkind
I love you in the stars
Too far for me to capture
And yet I try to grasp still
Because I am enraptured
I love you in the villainy that is life
For though you and I love each other truly
We are big, undeniable fools
Because this love is only going to hurt us deeply
