"I don't care if you don't like it when I order you around." Jungkook grunts, huffing out through his nose. "I don't care if you're mad or sad or hurt. I'm looking at you through the same eyes I always have! You're wrong. Not me."
Jimin shakes his head, confused by the random choice of words Jungkook seems to be speaking. He hasn't fully grasped the situation. A moment ago, he was asking an old lady if he was at the correct bus station and now the life he left is right before his eyes. "What?"
"The letter!" Jungkook wails, breathing heavier. He lifts his hand towards Jimin again, inching closer to him still. "Don't run. Please, don't run away from me."
"What are you doing?" Jimin mutters, sliding down a bit against the wall behind him.
Jungkook drops his arm to his side. He wanted to make sure Jimin was real, make sure he wasn't just dreaming of this or hallucinating due to sleep deprivation. "You're wrong. You're wrong Jimin, about everything you said about me. You're wrong about everything you said about yourself."
"Why are you here?"
Jungkook's nose flares, tears pricking at his eyes. "I found you." He whispers. "I-I understand, Jimin. Everything. I know that I was wrong, about you. About your intentions."
Jimin shakes his head. "You said I was wrong."
"Listen. Listen, please." The taller whines, backing up slightly so he won't crowd Jimin enough to make him afraid. Maybe he looks a bit insane, a bit unstable. "We were both.. wrong. I was angry and that's not an excuse. But that was my fault, It's not yours."
Jimin is breathing heavy, swallowing rapidly and then clearing his throat. He wants to appear stern with his words, final. He wants Jungkook to understand that this is something he wants to pretend never happened. He's not going to be caught. "Stop talking. You're talking to yourself." He knows to expect hurt in Jungkook's stare, but nothing cushions the blow of seeing how deep he's cut into the man's soul when he finally accepts eye contact. Dejection. Misery. Fear. It's all part of what Jungkook will thank him for making him realize one day. His entire existence brings bad fortune to others, just by knowing who is he. To care about me is so unfortunate. I'm sorry, Jungkook. "Let me go."
Jimin grabs the wall behind him, lifting himself slightly with his exhausted arms. He's going to chance it, trying to get away. Jungkook can't find him as long as he can duck into a store, a restaurant, anywhere. He'll run fast. Maybe Jungkook's faster, but he's a lot smaller. Jimin turns away for a moment, just to attempt dragging himself over the edge of the concrete wall.
Jungkook pushes his hand forward, grabbing the strap of the smallers backpack and drawing him down from the wall. He catches Jimin before he falls, pulling him closer in his arms and reveling for a moment in the feeling of the boy in his hold. It's monumental enough of a sensation, to hold Jimin even in their current stand off, he whimpers, gasping out his words. "Please, stop trying to get away from me!" He doesn't really give a shit if anybody hears him, if bystanders give him dirty, concerned, frightened looks from behind his back. "I'll follow you, I'll find you. Wherever you go. I'll follow you for however long you make me follow you, until you stop and let me talk to you, Jimin."
Jimin forces himself free from the others hold, managing himself to his feet. Jungkook reaches up to grab onto a fistful of the bottom of his oversized sweater. "Go away!" He grabs Jungkook's hand and regrets it when the man responds by switching his hold to around his wrist. Jungkook stands up.
"I'm not going anywhere." The taller shakes his head. He pulls Jimin back towards him again, wincing at the sound the boys bag makes when it falls onto the concrete beneath their feet. Jimin's chest is heaving. His own is about to break by the beat of his heart trying to free itself from a cage of raw desperation. "You-" He whispers hotly, struggling to steady his voice. "You are the best thing in my life and wow, it makes me feel like a fucking loser to think that I couldn't make you grasp that. You are the entire reason I breathe, Park Jimin. You think I can let you go, when I see you? You think I can just fucking forget about you?"
