*Chapter 03|Memory*

Start from the beginning

Unexpectedly, they separated. I suddenly felt cold and held my arms, my wet hair stuck to my neck and my clothes clung to my body like a second skin. I hate it when my clothes are wet, its so uncomfortable.

"Who are you?" The brown skinned girl asked.

I dont reply.

"Now is not the time to ask questions Jasmine, we have to get her inside," Blake says her name harshly.

"You're right," Jasmine agreed once she notices I'm soaking wet.

"What are you doing here? And why are you wet?" Clara - the blonde, asked.

I opened my mouth to speak but Caleb beat me to it. "She was drowning in the lake, but Asher saved her." I glared at him and turned back to the girls, at least he didnt say the entire truth.

"What kind of idiot would jump in a lake alone if they cant even swim?" The red head said with a harsh but amused laugh sent at me. Her eyes looked me up and down and her nose was scrunched up in disgust.

"Zoe!" The other girls scolded.

"I'm just being real," she said and crossed her arms.

I didn't understand her sudden distaste for me, we haven't met before now, so why the act? Maybe shes just a bitch by nature, I wont judge her because I was just acting like that to the guys minutes ago.

"Enough Zoe," Asher said sternly and she rolled her eyes.

Bitch much?

"Bianca's going to be staying here for the night, she needs a place to sleep," Blake said lending me a smile and two of the girls give him an understanding nod.

Zoe gives him a horrified look.

Even though I didn't want to stay here as much as she didn't want me to, I had a huge urge to laugh in her face.

"Come on in," the blonde said softly gesturing me over. I slowly and hesitantly make my way towards her then turned to the boys and see them following behind.

We made our way into the cabin, I refused to look up and kept walking with my head hung low, too shy, insecure and embarrassed to look at anyone.

"This is your room," I heard Jasmine say interrupting my train of thoughts. I meet her gaze, "and if you haven't realized it yet, I'm Jasmine," she sends me a kind smile and pushed the door open revealing a bedroom.

I walked into the room, it was decent looking. I find the bed and walk to it, desperate to rest my aching legs and sit at the edge of it.

"Do you need anything?" I heard the blonde ask softly from the doorway.

"No," I reply quietly.

She just nodded. "Dinner is in thirty minutes, you should take a shower, I'm sure Zoe has no problem in lending you some clothes, since you both look the same size," she said and all attention is turned to the red head next to her.

"Excuse me?" Zoe screeched, glaring at the two girls.

"Quit being such a baby itll just be one shirt and jean," Jasmine said dismissively.

"And I'm Clara by the way," the blonde said.

"Whatever," I muttered. Could they just leave now?

"I'll be back soon with the clothes, theres a bathroom over there," she said pointing to a door opposite the room. Jasmine gave me a small nod and disappeared into the hallway with Clara, leaving me with Zoe.

We both awkwardly glared at each other for what seemed to be forever before she finally spoke.

"Don't think you're welcome here, because you're not. They just pity you and very soon they'll throw you out of this place," she says in an attempt to hurt me.
