'Ellie, you need to help me with the cakes!' My Aunt's tone made me jump and hit the floor.
I massaged my bottom, before struggling to walk in the light kitchen where my mum and Aunt May sat doing some chocolate cakes.
I scoffed at both of them, as I strolled to the big table and took a seat, as my head rested on my hand.
'Are you going to help or not? Did you just come here to sit down again?' My Aunt asked as her lips curved upwards into a cheeky grin.
Me and May looked alike. With our dark brown hair and pale skin. The only feature that separated us were her clear blue eyes that resembled bliss and ambition.
'Yep.' I nodded at her mockingly.
I just loved to annoy my aunt so much.
My mum chuckled at the careless response, as Aunt May glared at her.
'She's exactly like you, Adaline.' She scolded my mum who was laughing so hard, her arms clasped around her stomach.
'Calm down sister. You had always been the lazy one in the family, remember?' My mother responded as a slight frustration escaped my auntie's lips.
She rolled her eyes.
'Baby sister, I think she's got your genes, not mine.'
My auntie winked at my mum who was now glaring back at her sister.
I placed my hands in surrender as the kitchen grew quieter.
'Calm down both of you! What would Nana say?' I hissed at both of them, the amusement showing in my tonality.
We all guffawed in unison at my sudden outburst and continued chatting.

'Zoe where is my book?' I screamed at my little sister, who was texting on her phone.
Zoey gazed up at me, her honeyed amber eyes reflecting a slight amusement inside them.
'Austin, the book is on your nightstand. Why would I steal it anyway? I hate those kind of books' She spoke in a 'duh' timbre of voice.
It matched with Ellie's.
I walked with her today, after school ended. We talked for the whole journey about hobbies we liked and got to know each other a bit better than before.
The fact that I've told her my secret was a sudden incident that I've never expected to happen.
At that moment I'd began trusting in her in a way I've never trusted anyone before and something about it felt right.
I was living with my younger sister and mother in a small house down Pine street. My dad left my mum and I when she was pregnant with my Zoe sister and I hadn't seen him since.
But he's the only one that I constantly blame for ending up the way I am.
It was a Tuesday night and I was sitting on the couch with Zoe. Mum was working late tonight so I had to stay at home and babysit her.
Of course she didn't actually need any babysitting. My smaller sister had always been a very independent girl with her creativity and stubbornness that made her a great person to hang out with.
I chuckled at the notorious flash backs of us two backing cookies with mother.
I was only seven years old while Zoey was three.
That day mum had a bought some vanilla cream and she thought of entertaining us for a bit.
So I remember running into the kitchen with my blue apron decorated with shells, as my sister followed behind me, her blond hair tied in plats a innocent beam plastered on her face.
