Katie's POV- 7:30 am Monday
"Katie," an ear-piercing voice rang through my ears. "Katie wake up, it's the first day of school". My eyes fluttered open and I saw my bossy twin sister, Miranda, standing over me.
"Really?", I asked
"Yep," She smiled. "Lets go wake up dad." Miranda grabbed my arm and yanked it. I tumbled out of my bed and collidedw with the hardwood floor.
"Ow," I whimpered and slowly sat up. "Why did you do that?"
"To get you out of bed,"Miranda looked at me like I was dumb. "Duh". She looked out of my room and down the hall to my dad's room. "Come on." She dropped my arm and darted out of the room.
"Wait for me," I called and scrambled off the floor after her. She was already next to my dad's bed when I entered the room. I ran and stood next to her.
"When I say go, scream his name," Miranda instrued. I nodded in reply. "ready, set,GO".
"DAD!" we both shouted. My dad shot up and pushed his glasses on.
"Who's ther-oh girls, what are you doing up, it's so early."
"We have kindergarten today dad remember!", Miranda smiled and started skipping in a circle. "I'm going to kindergarten, I'm going to kindergarten, I'm going to kindergarten."
"I remember, but Miranda, it's way to early to be up, go rest for another 30 minutes and then we will start getting ready for school,"
"Okay, but one question, how long is 30 minutes?". My dad laughed.
"Not long Mare Mare, not long, now go rest."
"Okay, come on Katie," She smiled as she grabbed my wrist and start skipping out of the room. "I'm going to kindergarten, I'm going to kindergarten."

Miranda POV- 7:45 am
I think its been 30 minutes, maybe we can go to school now. I bolted out of my room down the hall to Katie's room.
"Katie," I tried shaking her wake. "Katie wake up." I am so excited for school. I'm going to make so many new friends. "Katie?", I whispered and lifted up one of her eyelids, revealing her forest green eyes.
"Miranda?", she blinked.
"Get up and get ready for kindergarten."
"I'll go wake up Dad-".
"NO- I mean we can get ready without him right?", I interrupted her.
"Okay," Katie replied and climbed off her bed. I grabbed her wrist and yanked her out of the room.
"Slow down Miranda!", Katie yelled. I shushed her
"We have to be quiet."
"Why?"
"Uh because now let's get dressed."
"Mare Mare I'm tired," Katie grumbled.
"How can you be tired it's our first day of school!"
"I'm going to sleep. I don't want to go to school. Maybe tomorrow."
"NO," I complained. "Come on let's get dressed."
"How, dad always helps us pick out what to wear."
"Not anymore," I smiled. "We're 6 years old now, we need to start doing things ourselves, come on."

Katie's POV- 8:00
"How do I look?", Miranda asked and spun around to show me here outfit. She was wearing a bright purple t-shirt, bright pink pants, and a yellow bow was hanging off the side of her head.
"You look cool," I said. "What about me?". I picked out a green dress and a pink headband. I think I put the dress on wrong, but it still is pretty I guess.
"You look cool too," Miranda smiled. "Now, let's go wake up-" she started before getting interrupted by the door swinging open.
"MIRANDA!KATIE! WHAT ARE YOU GUYS DOING?".
"We are getting ready dad," Miranda stated as if it was obvious. "Can't you see how cute we look?". The two of us stroke a pose and my dad laughed.
"Miranda there is a huge knot in your hair," he laughed. "And Katie there is toothpaste on your face." He pulled the bow out of Miranda's hair. "Come on girls," he smiled. "Let's go to the bathroom and fix this."
-----------------------------------------------------------
Miranda's POV- 8:10
I don't know what Dad's problem was with my hair, I think it looked cute.
"Miranda how did you manage to do that?" my dad asked and he tried to untangle the yellow bow out of my hair.
"I don't know".
"Well it's almost out. Next time, ask me to help you okay?".
"Okay Dad." He continued to untangle and brush my hair.
"Dad are you almost done?".
"Almost." I waited
"How about now?".
"Almost Mare Mare."
"Dad how long until school starts."
"20 minutes."
"How long is that."
"Not long."
"Dad when is Kevin coming home." Kevin is my older brother. Every summer he goes to some camp. We never see him during the summer. And sometimes, he leaves and goes there at random times. Dad and him wont tell Katie and I anything about the camp, I don't know why.
"I don't know," My dad looked down. He got very quiet. "He is usually backed by now. I don't know if he is coming back."
"What do you mean?" I asked. He looked down.
"Okay miranda, your hair is brushed." He braided a part of my hair and clipped the bow in it.
