"It's just so sad, the things people will do to each other. Kidnapping others to get what they want."

"Hi-yah!"

Bree Campbell slaughtered her opponent with a hard roundhouse kick. Her opponent fell down the floor with a thud. He groaned in pain. Bree got down to her knees and held out a hand.

"So sorry there. Didn't mean to go so hard on you." she said.

He smiled and got up to his feet."It's all right Bree. I knew I couldn't beat you anyways."

She nodded and got back to the bench. Bree sat down and took a drink from her bottle. Suddenly, her friend, Riley, tackled her into a hug. Bree almost chocked on her water by that.

"I knew you could beat the toughest kid in our karate class Bree!" she exclaimed.

" Um, yeah thanks Riley."

Then, their sensei teacher, Sensei Aikido came up to them.

"Ms. Bree, you did well on that. Congrats." he said with a smile. 

"Thank you Sensei."

"And because of that, you have ranked up to a black belt." He handed Bree a black belt. She gasped and slowly took it from him.

"Th-Thank you Sensei," Bree said "That's so kind of you."

"You deserve it." he said and walked away.

Riley tackled Bree into another hug."Yay Bree you're a black belt now!"

She smiled. "I know. It's amazing."

Riley smirked. "Soon, I'll have to beat you to the top."

Bree returned the smirk. "Doubt it."

Her phone rang. It was a text from her mother.

It's 5:10 Bree.

She texted back.

Ok, mom. I'll be home soon.

"Going home Bree?" Riley said.

"Yep." She said as she put on her coat and packed up.

"Okay then, see ya Breezy."

"See you."

Outside the street, Bree was walking home when she heard another ring. This time it was from her boyfriend, Conner Bailey.

Watcha doing Breezy?

Bree grimaced and smiled at the same time. Lot's of people she knew were calling her that now.

Nothing much. Just got out of the dojo. Earned my black belt today.

Really? That's amazing! Congrats.

Thanks. Bree replied and put her phone back to her back pocket. Fortunately, while she was looking down, Bree wasn't looking were she was going and bumped into a man. She looked up.

"I'm so sorry mister," Bree apologized "I wasn't looking were a I was-"

When she got a good look at the man, she saw that he was pointing a gun at her.
