                                 🌙

The day starts out as any other day, going to work, doing school and trying to live a simple and easy life. Yet Apollo always felt as if something was missing and he knew what it was, or so he thought. Apollo is your typical 19 year old living in San Diego California. Going out with friends, watching TV and staying on track with social media. He may not have had a 3.0 GPA in highschool, but he sure as hell was always motivated and sure of himself always pushing his limits and never backing down from a challenge.

There was only one thing he never had the courage to do and that was dating. No one really knows why, but many take his word for it. "I'm fine on my own thanks." Apollo tells people while waving them off with his hand and smiling.

"I don't need someone else trying to dictate my life."

"Another person another stress." He isn't always a pessimistic infact he's the most bubbly, outgoing, sweet, asshole you'd ever meet. He smiles all the time to strangers, friends, and family. Gives out hugs as if they were holiday grams. A naive and yet hard person, you couldn't go wrong with, well at least sometimes until you accidentally make him feel bad.

"Hey Apollo, why don't you come here for a second?" His boss waves him over to his office and waits for Apollo to enter the room to close the door quietly. He walks around his desk and takes a seat he motions for Apollo to take a seat as well. "So I know that you've been working here for quite some time now and I was wondering how you like it so far? I mean it's been four months and you've hit your first three promotions fairly quickly so I just wanna make sure." Apollo gives his boss a confident yet still timid smile before answering.

"Well I think it's a great job, everyone here is amazing and the pay isn't bad either if I can be completely honest." He smiles again at his boss while moving some of his curly shoulder length hair out of his face and behind his ear. "Why, what's the matter?" His boss sighs and looks down at his desk as if contemplating on telling him the truth. Apollo begins to feel nervous for the fear of getting let go, sure he's only been there for four months, but still it was his first job he's ever gotten and to be let go after a few days before his birthday is not what he'd call the best gift life has given him.

"Well I was wondering if you'd like to go on the traveling trip that's coming up. Remember how I was talking about how the company sends some of us on amazing trips?" Apollo nods his head slowly still slightly shocked by the obvious choice that his group leader would invite him out everyone else. They barely know anything about each other, I mean they may have gone out a few times to get to know each other, but even then Apollo made sure not to open up even a page of himself on those dinners.

"I really do appreciate the thought, but I don't if I'll be able to go. I'm still doing my modeling school and that doesn't end until June." Apollo secretly hopes that will get him out of the trip. As much as he really wants to go he doesn't like the thought of flying all that much, he's always had a fear of heights among of other things.

"That's ok, the trip isn't until August anyway. So you'll be able to go and finish your school. Well I mean that is if you want, I just wanted you to be the first to be asked since you tend to stand out more from the others the most." Apollo then starts to shake on the inside of his body from the nervous jitters that begin to surround him. Everyone and anyone who has been nice to him has usually made him feel a bit uncomfortable even if he doesn't show it, deep down he's uncomfortable and it's just because he's not fully used to people being all that kind to him. He still sits there fully thinking about his decision.

"Ok, I'll go." Apollo says, not with a tone of defeat, but with confidence and a smile. His group leader returns the smile only his smile goes from ear to ear quite like the Cheshire cat. His blue-green eyes looks at Apollo's hazel ones. "Good, you are free to go." With that Apollo stands up and heads to the door until he hears his leader speak. "And Apollo, if you ever need help on making more money, just let me know." Apollo turns to see his leader wink at him. That's when he decided to leave before he does something he'll end up regretting.

Apollo is a lucky yet strange case to many in the magic world and many of the ancient humans would think so as well. You see he was blessed by Artemis the moon goddess and goddess of the hunt, but has the ability to create and control light. It may seem contradicting at first, but when you understand it then that's when you'll understand him. He may be the easiest to get along with, but he has too many things that make it hard to know him, he's confusing yet inspiring, he's frail yet strong and sturdy.

As Apollo walks out of the building where his job is he decides to take a walk for a bit. "When will this crap end?" He looks up at the sky as if asking the gods his question. He begins to walk towards a Denny's that's not too far from his work building. He doesn't really like his job all that much, but everywhere else that he has applied for either hasn't called him back or just didn't want him so he settled for a job that literally works him. $18 per appointment he does and even then that's if his clients don't reschedule. He gave up trying to find a decent job long ago. As for his modeling school he'll have to stop soon, he doesn't have enough money to make the rest of the payments. He feels like his whole life is going up in flames, but yet he still somehow only focuses on how the light of the fire can be what he needs to see more clearly.

When he steps inside the restaurant he's greeted by a worker, the lovely young lady asks how many people will be joining and he said "It's just me." With a smile and a little shy laugh. The waitress takes over by a window where he can see the freeway and the street with cars zooming by and of course the 2 o'clock traffic beginning. Not much bothers him as much as earthlings and their stupidity, when it comes to their world leaders they're the stupidest of all Apollo thinks. He's never quite understood why this planet fascinates other worlds to the point where they send their own to study these things.

Apollo gets to his seat and skims through the menu even though he's gonna get what he usually does, the all you can eat pancakes. He may be fit and slim, but his appetite is like a black hole, always eating and never ending. "I wonder." Apollo slightly raises his right hand over the table and aims at a waiter carrying a tray full of food. He concentrates real hard thinking of a flash of light right in front of the poor guy. Right when he got to a table full of people he instantly drops their food all over the table while getting a screech from a lady a table beside them. "Ugh extra lady." Apollo slightly smiles knowing he did something rude, but getting enjoyment out of the yelling and insults being thrown at the oblivious earthlings.

"My isn't that strange?" Apollo's waitress comes back with her hands on her hip. Apollo has a nonchalant look while still looking at the menu acting as if he has no idea what just took place. "Yeah, poor guy." He says while he holds back a smile. "So I'll take the all you can eat pancakes." He folds his menu and hands it to the waitress. She snatches it from his hand and begins to talk. "I'm gonna have to ask you to leave please." Apollo raises his left eye brow while having a little smile on his face. "And why would that be?"

"Well I don't promote people using powers or magic on my coworkers so I'll ask you again, leave before I make you leave." She gets closer to the table and stares Apollo down. He stares at her not as a challenge, but more like he's figuring her out. He stands up and holds his hands up. "Alright, you're right I'll leave before it becomes a big scene." He begins to move and when he got to the door he saw the reflection of the waitress and saw she had her back turned so he decided to give her a present before leaving.

He aimed his middle finger to where he saw her hair tied up and released a sharp and thin line of light hitting directly on the top of her head and setting it fire. When he walked outside he could hear the frantic screams of people and leaves with a big smile plastered on his face.
