Chapter 2: Words can change everything

-Kassia! come here!- My mother shouts from downstairs.

-You too Gaby!-

As I said. It's like I'm not her daughter.

I walk downstairs heavily as my sister goes running almost making me fall.

We enter to the kitchen and my mother is there reading some papers.

-Take a seat- she says. I look at the table and there's only one chair left. Gabriella runs to take it, she sits and gives me an evil smile. I just roll my eyes.

-Girls, school is coming soon- she starts. Yep, it's summer, holidays.

-We need a new school-

-Why?- I ask. They both look at me. My mother like of she have just noticed I'm here.

-We're moving- she says.

-Why you say that like if it's something I should know?- I say rising an eyebrow.

-You should know. Didn't someone tell you?- Gabriella says bothering me.

-Actually, no one has told me something for like... two years?- I say in a challenging tone.

-Maybe you deserve those two years- she says starting to stand up.

-Oh yeah? If I deserved two years I just can't imagine what you deserve- I say, stepping forward.

-Kassia!- my mother screams. -Control yourself!-

I roll my eyes in frustration.

-Why it's always me?!- I shout without thinking.

-What?-

-Why are you always against me?! Tell me!-

My mother makes a face of "I don't know what you're talking about dear" oh wait, she would never call me "dear".

-Don't make that face! The thing that I think different doesn't mean I'm stupid!- I scream.

She stands up.

-Are you shouting me?-

-Yes! I am!-

-Don't scream to me!- she shouts.

-And why can you scream to me?!- I shout back.

-Because I'm your mother!-

-Oh, now it seems that you dare to call me your daughter?!- I say in a challenging tone.

-Shut up Kassia!-

-Oh no mother... not this time-

-Oh, okay...- she starts smiling. -You're tired to be here? Full of people that don't like you? Okay...-

This is not good.

-I'll take you to that school- she continues. -The one that's.. well, not too near from the new house but not so far...- she paused.

-Spit it out- I say angry.

She looked at me, annoyed because of the comment but she ignored it.

-You'll go to a school, that's not for Jinxes-
