Happy Birthday Dia

Happy Birthday Dia!!! In the spirit of a new year and Dia's birthday I have decided to make this one shot. It's my first time making a fanfic so if there are any mistakes forgive me For them. Here it goes. The characters may be OOC.

Dia Kurosawa the eldest daughter of her parents and an elder sister of Ruby Kurosawa. A lot of responsibility laid on her shoulders but she carried it as if it was no big deal.

Today she was playing the koto. You must practice regularly after all. Usually her practices went smoothly, though this time she was interrupted by a phone call from her child hood friend, Mari asking her to meet up at Kanan's place in an hour. Dia couldn't help but say yes. Sure, her practice would be cut short but it wouldn't hurt, right?

"So we make the cake." Ruby said. Beside her was her best friend Hanamaru and Yoshiko. "Yes! The second years will decorate the room!" Mari said over the phone to the first years. "We will take care of distracting Dia till mid night."
"Alright then."
Ruby cut the phone. "Do any of you know how to bake a cake?" Yoshiko asked. "No, zura but there are books. Books contain valuable information zura. We can use the cook books to bake the cake." Hanamaru said, enthusiastically. "Why are we even doing this when we don't even know how to bake a cake!?"
"Because you lost while playing rock-paper-scissors with You." Ruby giggled  at Yoshiko. "I couldn't waste my saved up luck..." Yoshiko paused," I want to use my luck to make sure I don't mess up your sister's birthday with my bad luck." Yoshiko said softly.

The two first years couldn't help but smile sweetly at their friend. "We should get started." Ruby said getting up from her seat. "Let's go to the library and find a cook book." Hanamaru said. "Zuramaru, make sure you do not eat the cake while making it you will get fat." Yoshiko warned. "Yoshiko, you're the one who is big a everywhere." Hanamaru said, with a smug look. "Shut up."

"Both of you lets go we've got a cake to bake." Ruby intervened. She would have let the love birds flirt as much as they want in normal circumstances(they weren't dating... yet but Ruby did know the secret the two were hiding from each other) but now they were on a time crunch. "Hai!" Yoshiko and Hanamaru said as the three now began marching to the nearest library.

Kanan and Mari could come up with only one idea which would make Dia sit in one place for a few hours. Binge watching μ's performances. Right now they were performing Snow Halation, one of Dia's favourite songs. For now she was too busy to notice Mari texting Chika, asking how far they were done. Chika in reply sent a video showing the decorated room.

The problem. Mari forgot to put her phone on silent. "Mari san what happened? It sounded like Chika." Do a turned and asked her. "Oh, ah...umm, it was Chika sending me a video of Shiitake's dog house." Mari managed to say. If Dia was in her normal mood she would have noticed Mari was lying but because of her love of watching μ's perform it went right over her head. "Alright." Dia went back to cheer μ's on.

"Mari, is it ready?" Kanan whispered into Mari's ear while shaking her glowstick. "The decoration, yes. The cake, no." Kanan sighed before saying, "After this we have an hour left. What are we going to do?"
"I don't know... I didn't think about that..." Kanan mentally faced palmed.

"Kanan san, Mari san, what are you whispering about?"
"Ah, about how Snow Halation is one of their best songs." Kanan lied. Snow Halation was one of their best but she desperately needed Dia not to k is what they were talking about. "You both have been hiding something from me. I don't know what. Do you mind telling me?"
"It's a shiny secret." Mari winked. "Oh I see, I don't mind if you don't tell me." Dia scratched the mole near her mouth. Kanan and Mari had to somehow keep this up before she really got desperate.

"Yousoro!" You said as she opened the door of the kitchen of Mari's hotel.  On opening three second years saw a very messy kitchen. Everything was all over the place. There was flour everywhere, eggs on the walls and counter butter smeared in parts of the counter. In between all this mess was a bowl filled with the remaining batter.

Yohane was trying to summon a demon in a egg pentagram, Hanamaru was eating some bread and Ruby was sitting beside Hanamaru on the floor. Inside the oven was the cake.

"What happened here?" Riko said, looking at the mess around her. "Yoshiko did you do this?"
"Lili it wasn't only me! Zuramaru and Ruby also did some of this too!" Riko sighed. Meanwhile Chika had creeped up to the bowl of batter and tasted it. She fell on the floor with a thump. "Chika chan!" the other two second years rushed to her side. "Salty... way too salty." Chika murmured. "No don't leave us Chika chan!" You as.

"Yoshiko chan did you put spat instead of sugar?" Ruby asked. That's when Yoshiko realised her mistake. "Yohane! As a fallen angel it's-"

"Yoshiko chan did you zura?" Hanamaru asked.
"Did you?"
"Did you?"
"I was confused!" Yoshiko said to all of those looking at her. "Chika chan wake up!" You shook the unconscious Chika.

The alarm they kept began to ring. All of them looked at it in horror. "I guess we have to serve that to Dia san zura." Hanamaru said dejectedly. Ruby only wished her sister would survive after eating the cake.

"

Dia, shiny!"
"Mari san, I don't get why you are inviting us so late to your house."
"Calm down Dia just follow us." Dia shook her head. "If you say so."

Now they stood in front of the giant hotel that Mari called home. The last time their juniors contacted them was when they had just finished watching. The news they told them wasn't so great but they had no other choice but to go with it.

Five minutes till midnight struck. The world was partying while they hoped to give Dia the surprise of her life. "Kanan san!" Dia squeaked as Kanan tied a cloth over her eyes. "Follow us." Kanan said as she held Dia's hand guiding her to the room. Mari had sent a message to the first and second years as soon as they reached while making sure Dia didn't see her.

On the way Dua asked where they were going to which the two only giggled.

They reached with a less than a minute to spare. They opened the door of the room and took off the blindfold.

Dia was met with the darkness of the room. She took two steps in tentatively.

"Surprise! Happy birthday Dia san/ Onee chan!"

Dia was taken aback. Everyone from Aqours was here. You and Yoshiko bursted the huge party poppers. Unfortunately Yoshiko's didn't work at first but when she turned it toward her to check what's wrong she got a hoard of streamers flying into her face making everyone laugh. "Happy birthday Dia." Kanan and Mari said in her ear, making her blush. "Everyone..." she managed to say. After all she was still shocked. Outside a fireworks display was going on for welcoming the new year. Everyone sang the birthday song as Dia cut the cake. Before she could take a piece to feed Ruby the cake was pushed to the side of the table by Chika.  Dia was left there confused and everyone told her to sit on the sofa. So a obliged still confused

Mari and Kanan explained what was going on and that it was Ruby who gave the idea. After that everyone gave their presents and Chika told Dia how grateful she feels when Dia is there to make sure everyone is one track. It was a memorable night. There was no way Dia was going to forget this, ever.

Bonus-

There was one thing that was still in Dia's mind. "Why aren't any of you eating the cake?"

The first and second years broke into a nervous laughter. "No reason... no reason at all." Chika chuckled. So a got up from the sofa and headed to the cake. "Dia, don't..." before Kanan could finish her sentence she had already taken a bite. "Its good..." she said trying not to show how she felt while scratching her mole. Kanan and Mari could only smile at their childhood friend. Though all of them would grow there would always be somethings that would never change.
