CHAPTER ~ THREE

I wake up to my aunt shaking me, "Aubrey, come on, you gotta go to school" ,she says sweetly, I slowly get up, "okay aunt", I smile at her, "I've got wraps downstairs for breakfast", she replies.

After I go for a shower and put on the school uniform I head downstairs.

I quickly eat breakfast then grab my school bag, I wave to my aunt, "see ya later!", I yell as I leave the house.

I get to school around 30min later.

I'm standing at the front of my locker waiting for Bell, wonder where she is? She should've been here by now.

I message her

A: Hey Bell? Where are you?

B: Hey, I'm not gonna be able to come to school today, sorry Bub ❤️

Okay so Bell isn't coming to school today, what am I supposed to do, she's the only person I talk to.

I quickly grab my book and go to class.

The class was pretty boring since it's school and I was alone, well, Fletcher was there but he seemed really focused so I didn't disturb him.

~lunch bell~

I usually sit with Bell during lunch but since she isn't here I decided to sit near the garden by myself and listen to music.

I'm listening to I Wouldn't Mind- He Is We , when a black cat suddenly came out of the garden and was standing next to me on the bench.

"Hi" I whisper making sure no one can hear me,

I put my hand out to the cat and he sniffs it, I slowly move my hand to pat it, I gently rub its head and it purrs.

Someone comes over to me, it's Chloe.

I quickly shoo the cat away to go back into the bush.

Chloe comes over, "all alone are we?" She says in a sarcastic voice, I roll my eyes, "what do you want Chloe?" I say annoyed, Chloe is pretty much a bully, she grabs my hair, "I saw you hanging out with those new guys yesterday" she sounds angry "your not allowed to hang out with them" she continues, "I'm allowed to do what I want Chloe" I reply, she pulls my hair "not in my books weirdo" she lets go of my hair and leaves.

I look down at my hands in my lap, I tear up, that's all I am, a weirdo.

The cat comes back, I look at it "I-I'm okay kitty, she's right.." a tear rolls off my cheek.

The cat licks my hand then disappears.

Where did it go? It probably smelt food...

~after school~

I put my books in my locker and locked it.

Someone puts there hand on my shoulder, it's Colter.

"Oh hey Colter?" I wave, he smiles, "are you coming over again?" He asks, I looks down "I-I um I don't think I can come over again..." I reply, he looks at me confused "why?" He asks, I move his hand off my shoulder "I just can't okay" I say as I walk away.

{Ambrose POV}

I'm sitting on the couch with Loki and Fletcher.

I hear the door open and see Colter walk in, "hey Colter" Fletcher says getting up and walking to him, "Aubrey isn't with you?" He asks, Colter looks at all of us, "she said she can't come over again", Loki stands up "what? Why?!" He seems upset, these guys like her that much?, "I might know why" I speak up, they look at me, "what?" Loki and Colter say in unison.

I stand up "well at lunch today she was sitting alone, so I went over to her and sat with her for a bit, then Chloe came over and said some stuff to her, she cried" I explain.

"What!" Loki yells, "Who even is Chloe?" Colter asks, "that's stupid, she's always aloud to come here" Fletcher states, I nod in agreement.

"So you went and sat with her in human form or?" Colter asks, I shake my head "no", Colter smirks "does she know it was you?" He asks, I shake me head again, "that's no fun" he mutters, I roll my eyes.

-two weeks later-

{Aubrey POV}

I get home and unlock the door, to my surprise aunt was home, she's usually at work till morning.

"Why are you home?" I ask putting my bag on the ground, aunt looks at me "I got off early" she smiles, I smile back, "so sweet heart, how was school?" She asks, I look down "well um... n-nothing" I say walking to my room.

Few. I don't want to talk about Chloe or the guys. I just want sleep.

I go for a shower and wash my hair, when I finish in the shower I put on a nighty and go to bed.

I feel bad for what I said to Colter.

It's about 1:30am and I can't sleep, lucky I don't have school tomorrow.

I decide to go out to the porch, I sit on the chair and look at the sky.

I hear a ruffle in the bush, "who's there?" I ask

A black cat comes out of the bush, "are you the one from school? Did you follow me home?" I go down to the bush and pick it up, I go back to the chair, sit down and put the cat on the chair next to me (it's one of those swinging chairs).

I look at the sky, the cat meows, "I don't want to stop seeing the guys, but, Who knows what Chloe will tell them if I see them again?" I sigh, "who cares about Chloe, the guys miss you...", I turn and see Ambrose Looking at the sky, "w-what?! Where's the cat?!" I yell confused, he looks at me "you can't stop coming to the house, I came to tell you they miss you" he sighs "plus they keep annoying me", I chuckle, he looks at me and rolls his eyes, he stands up and begins to walk off the porch, "wait!" I stand up, he turns and looks at me "a-are you that cat?" I ask, he turns and continues to walk away.

I smile and look at the sky.

I giggle to myself then head inside.
