I purred softly as I felt Erza's hands pet me softly. It felt nice having a girlfriend that was protective and fed me snacks. Although it was a little embarrassing when she picks me up (With me being one of the shortest people in Fairy Tail.)

Erza: (Y/n) are you staring into space again? If you keep doing that, I'm going to put another collar on you.

(Y/n): B-But I l-like having one c-collar!

Erza: Then pay attention or no dessert tonight!

(Y/n): O-Okay!

She smiled and cuddled me, making me Meow in joy until my friend Juvia came by with an unreadable expression on her face. Usually I'd find her stalking Gray or glaring at Lucy but today neither of those things happened. Come to think of it, I haven't seen either of them today. Probably nothing!

Juvia: Hello (Y/n) and. . . Erza. Erza, would you like to come with me on one of the tasks I picked from the board?

Erza thought about it for a second and smiled while I purred as she continued petting me.

Erza: I don't see why not! (Y/n) can come with us! His re-quip magic is improving so it should be a good challenge for him.

Juvia: Actually this may be a little too difficult for him so I asked you instead!

(Y/n): B-But I wanna go with you!

Erza: Shush Up And have some cake (Y/n)!

She hands me a large slice of cake and I instantly forgot what was going on around me. I didn't notice them leave but I felt a sinister intent.

Y/n's Mind: Probably nothing! Now back to cake!

(Timeskip)

Three days later, I skipped through the guild hall as happy as can be. But then everyone saw me and the whole room went silent.

(Y/n): W-What's going o-on? W-Why is e-everyone staring at m-me?!

Mirajane: (Y/n). . . Erza's gone. . .

(Y/n): Yeah she left with Juvia a couple days ago.

Mirajane: No I mean she's dead. . .

I felt my heart shatter as I tried to resist the urge to break down and cry. I felt myself being pulled into a hug and looked up to see Juvia. Her clothes were tattered at the ends but otherwise any other injuries were hard to spot. She seemed to shed a tear as she looked at me with sadness.

Juvia: I couldn't save her. I am sorry (Y/n).

(Y/n): I-It's o-Okay. Y-You tried.

She smiled at me and picked me up off the ground before taking me to Erza's and my house. I didn't notice the malicious grin as I snuggled up into her and fell asleep in her arms.

(Meanwhile)

A figure crawled out of a river, clawing at the nearby dirt and mud so she could breathe. Her red hair now soaked, Erza coughed up a handful of water as she remembered what happened. Juvia attacked her and left her to die in a river so she could have (Y/n).

Erza: Juvia. . . I'm coming for you. . .and for (Y/n). . .
