Gender Reveal

*2 Months Later*

"I can't believe we get to find out the gender of the baby today, are you excited?!" I asked sticking my head out out the closet to see Khalil still asleep after I've woken him up 3 times already.

I've been up since 6:30 am and it was currently 11:15, we scheduled my appointment with my OBGYN for later in the day. I walked out the closet and plopped right in front of Khalil's face causing his eyes to slightly open.

"BABBBEEEEEEE GET UUUUUPPPP" I whined messing with his face, "your appointment ain't till the afternoon, I got a few more hours" I watched as he pulled the cover up to his face and closed his eyes.

I huffed while laying next to him "I'm just so excited I don't know what to do with myself, we finally get to see if we're having a girl or a boy. I don't mind having a boy but I really want a girl, what about you".

"If we have a boy I ain't gotta worry about these nigga's and save myself a life sentence" he exclaimed sitting up and stretching, "who's supposed to be picking up the ultrasound anyway?"

"Hazel offered to stop by and pick it up, her and Evey already have the theme, she said all they need is to get the balloons". I let her and my sister do the gender reveal because Evelynn insisted that they could handle doing a small party.

She said she rather me have an extravagant baby shower so Khalil and I could welcome our first baby, a big baby shower sounds better to me anyway. I watched as Khalil got up and went to the bathroom to start the shower "where you going?"

"No where, you got me up now so I might as well shower and get dressed" he said with a slight attitude. I couldn't help but chuckle as I laid on the bed with my elbows propped up, I started messing with my stomach and poking it "what are youuuuu?" I asked smiling.

I was still playing with my little bump when a deep voice made me jump "leave my baby alone, damn can't nobody get some sleep today with yo ass." I didn't even hear him get out the shower, "I'm not bothering nobody! Let me have my fun."

"I'ight you keep playing and fuck around having the baby kick yo ass the rest of this pregnancy" he joked while putting his shirt on. "Don't get too comfortable, you know we gotta change later" Evelynn decided to get special made shirts for Khalil and I since they chose a Minnie and Mickey Mouse themed gender reveal, we even have to wear the ears.

"I'll do the shirt but the ears is doing too much" he said while sitting next to me rubbing my stomach, he's been doing that a lot ever since I told him I was pregnant. " I know you low-key want a girl, you don't need to deny it" I said.

"Nah a nigga team boy all the way, I'm not trynna go to jail no time soon. But if we have a girl I'm laying down the rules right after she come out. No dating until she 45, we ain't finna be doing kindergarten boyfriends and shit like that. Whatever nigga she bring home her daddy and her uncles are whoopin his ass."

He was so serious I couldn't help but to bust out with laughter, "and what if we have a boy?" I asked wiping my tears away. "Then we good, I'ma make sure my lil nigga fly ass hell just like his daddy, he finna have all the kindergarten girls over him, shit teachers too."

I just shook my head at that, no way in hell I was gonna let him turn my son into a hoe, cause if the teachers were all over him they'd be all over Khalil and I'm DEFINITELY not having that shit.

2 hours later

We just got back from my appointment and are in Walmart getting some stuff for the house, now I really wish I knew what we were having, there's so much cute baby stuff that I just wanna buy! I completely walked off from Khalil and went straight to the baby clothes.
