The sky was a brilliant blue.
The kind that gave trees and buildings
A stark outline, their colors bright.
The warm breeze drifted by her.
The scent of coffee from a nearby café tantalized her.
She noticed the leaves were turning,
Yellow, orange, red, and brown.
A reminder of time's passage.
"If only," she thought, as she walked. "I could freeze this moment forever."
Bottle it, hold it, and be able to return to it.
She never saw the car that hit her.
