"Friends? It was that girl wasn't it? I'm going to give her a piece of my mind. Where is that b*tch?" He asks, crossing his arms. My mum was carelessly on her phone, probably texting somebody.
Then I do something that surprised me. I punched him, right in the mouth.
--End of Pov--
Jenna's pov.
I hold my gun ready as I burst through the door. "FBI! PUT YOUR HANDS UP!" I yell, checking the rooms. I sigh running my hand through my hair. I yell clear, already knowing the house is empty. He probably isn't holding her here, it doesn't seem like that kind of place. I sent an agent into the basement anyway. I hear him yell clear and stomp my foot.
"Jenna, calm down. This is progress. Remember, things happen in time.." an agent, who clearly didnt know Olive well enough.
I decide not to fight with him. "Yeah, yeah. I know. Lets just try to find some clues? Eh?" I say, walking away in a huff. I search the living room, looking everywhere. We search the house, for another 2 hours. I move couches and look for anything. I find nothing, nothing but a receipt.
A receipt for a store! A store I know!
"Gina! I think I've got something! This guy bought groceries recently! At an Aldi! It's just a few blocks away! Maybe we can go there and ask somebody if they've seen him." I suggest. Gina nods quickly and waves me over to the car. We drive hurriedly over to the Aldi, anxious.
We rush in and head over to the cashier. I'm digging through my bag, trying to find Bruce's mug shot. I look up, the mug shot clasped in hand. My jaw drops slightly.
"Austin?! You work here? Oh my gosh, what happened to you?" I ask, reaching out to touch a bruise on his cheekbone. To my surprise, a large proud grin spreads across his face.
"You should have seen the other guy." He says, then his smile slips. "W-Why are you here?"
I shake my head, trying to clear my thoughts. "Have you seen this man? Has he ever come around here?"
"Uhh, yeah. Yeah! He came the other day." Austin says. I light up on the inside. Finally, somethings going well for me!
"Did anything seem off about him?" I ask, wan-needing more.
"Is the guy who kidnapped Olive? ...I should have punched him right in the fac-" Austin starts.
"Did anything seem off about him?" I repeat, deathly low. I like Austin, but I can't help it right now. I have too much to worry about.
"Uh yeah. He keep muttering something to himself and fiddling with his fingers. All I heard was... Something like got to get back, Marina kill her bills.. Something like that.." Austin says, rubbing the heels of his hands together. I guess he really does do that.
"Are you sure he didn't say Maria Kilmers bills?" I ask.
"Um yeah. He probably did say that. Why? Is that important? Who's Maria?" he asks.
Gina looks at me, raising an eyebrow. Maria...Maria Kilmer. I've read that before...
Then it hits me. "Thank you Austin! I-I have to go!" I say, turning away.
"Maria Kilmer, his divorced wife. What about her?" Gina asks.
"Her bills. Maria is making him pay for something but, whatever it is, he has to have money coming from somewhere. If we can find out where he works, his co-workers, we-" I explain, getting cut off by Austin.
"Oh, I've seen him restocking shelves at a gas station, a bit down the road from here. I don't think it pays well, but it's probably a side job." He says, poking my shoulder.
"Your good at keeping information," I say, glaring at him weakly. "But anyway, where exactly is this place?"
"Oh, go down this street, take a left and then a right at Emerson st. It's Jerry's Gas and Retail." he says, worriedy. I bit my lip, feeling bad for him. He really does like her...
"We'll find her Austin, we'll find her." I say, weakly smiling at him. Gina tugs on my arm, nodding towards the door. I turn back to Austin and flash him a sad smile. I run out the door and jump into the car. We cant spare another minute.
---End of pov---
Olives pov.
I wake up with a burning at my wrists, like rope burn. When I regain my senses, I realize my wrists were tied behind me, with rope. I squirm a bit, trying to get them loose. The rope cuts into my skin, defiantly leaving rashes. I give up, leaning my head back onto the wall.
A single tear leaves my left eye just as the door swings open. I quickly wipe my cheek on my shoulder, not wanting him to see. Bruce grins at me, a shining blade in hand. This time the blade was only 3 in. but it was shaped in weird, jagged spikes at the beginning of the blade. I gulp, knowing I will be feeling those.
"Hey hey hey! Whats up?" he asks, grinning sadistically. I choose to stay completely silent, glaring at him. He shrugs and says, "Suit yourself."
He opens the cage, the keys jingling loudly. I twitch as the door creeks open with a loud moan. He fingers the knife, taunting me with his threats and insults. He squats down to my height and grins really wide.
"Hope it hurts.." he whispers, under his breath. The knife goes into my stomach, piercing my skin and cuts from before. He twists the blade instead of knifing me more. I clench my jaw, refusing to show pain. I pinch my fingers, trying to take the pain away from my abdomen.
The door creaks open and there stands a pasty, sweaty and pale white Ethan. He hold a phone and says, "M-Marias on the phone."
"Dammit." I hear Bruce mutter. "Here, fix her." He says, storming past Ethan. He grabs the phone and slams the door.
My eyes flutterr as I try to stay awake, but soon the blackness takes over. The last thing I do before blacking out, possibly forever, is scream in anger and pain.
My life had gone horribly downhill.
