How along she felt being away from her home and family. How she'd gotten pregnant and how it had made her feel to be left behind. How alone she felt in this huge city, not having any real friends. she couldn't break down to her colleagues, she needed to remain professional with them. She told her how she'd gotten an internship first before getting a job offer last year.

Maybe she felt a bit responsible and could relate to how she felt in Scotland during her university days. The two women had the exact same interests and goals in life. She'd taken a bit care of her and the two could share the pregnancy at the same time. The two gave birth one day apart. Kate the 21 of July and Catherine the day after.

The bond seem to carry through afterwards as they shared first parenthood and Kate truly was alone after her mother returned a month after the birth of little Arthur. Their friendship had continued to grow and they continued to grow closer and such.

"Yesterday I was in the store and Arthur said he saw someone watching and following us. Today I had to go to the site in Southampton where they are excavating the new dinosaur and I noticed a car following me. When I got to the school he was gone." Kate admitted as the worry was strong enough to admit it. Maybe she was getting paranoid, the chemicals in the lab were finally damaging her brain.

"That's not normal Kate." Catherine said as she got up to go and got William. They made her swear to tell them if she had the same feeling, even to call them. She promised she would and then the four of them headed to the school to see the play of their sons.

The weeks passed by and before she knew it Kate was headed home to celebrate Christmas. She'd had dinner with the Cambridge, Harry and his new fiancé Meghan the night before.

Their Christmas dinner they had said. They'd also asked for Arthur to be a page boy. After some pressuring Kate gave in. She'd always been careful of being surrounded by them. She was coincidentally at the same polo game. Her new function of a year as head curator for the geological department gave her an excuse of attending certain events of things. Seemed her careful days were going to come to an end.

"so how has our Arthur man been doing?" Her grandfather asked as he played with her son.

Thank god for them, she missed them in London they came by as much as they could. But still she missed them, sure she had friends now. Pippa had been introduced to her by Catherine. Arthur has been a page boy along with George and Charlotte at her wedding. She had Kate, William, Harry and Meghan now. She had her colleagues but it felt great to be surrounded by her family for once as well.

She'd been the women to swear not to have kids, ever. Not imagining herself to be a parent with her past. Yet she'd been the first of the five children to be a mum and wouldn't trade it for the world.

"Good." Arthur shrieked as he ran up to his mum panting.

"Mummy, Grampy has made me tired." He told her as she shared a smile with her grandfather. They just loved doting on her little man. They didn't seem him very often and when they did, he got spoiled rotten. He walked over to her and crawled in her lab at the Christmas dinner table.

She missed her family being away from them so much, but she couldn't change her life for anything right now. She was finally happy, the most unexpected turn of events, the birth of her son had turned out to be one of the best things to happen to her. It put all the pieces of her broken puzzle in place. She had a steady job which enabled her to be with her son a lot. She had a good chunk of money saved despite the house she had. Her wage was pretty high, increased after becoming head curator of the geography department.

She wouldn't have to worry about much anymore at this point in her life and as she sat surrounded by her family she lay her cheek against the top of Arthur's head.
