Namjoon's initial reaction leaves most of his friends confused, his laugh carrying a tone of indifference. He's not stupid, he can see where Jimin's mind is going and had expected to be chosen by the smaller. Their texts earlier were argumentative and full of complete disagreement of one another, and Namjoon knows that he's trapped. This isn't just a game anymore. Real emotions, past issues, they've already been dragged to the surface and it's only the start of what he knows is to come. This isn't a game at all. It's an interrogation, the means of putting all of their secrets on the table for everyone to see. Hoping to change the pace a little, Namjoon nods. "Dare, Jiminie."
"Oh." Jimin whispers.
Namjoon smiles. He knows the other wanted him to choose Truth. He knows the question he would be asked, and he's proud to have dodged it. Oddly enough, he doesn't consider thinking forward enough to anticipate the Dare that someone as kind a person as Jimin tends to be could conjure up so quickly.
"I dare you to make out with Jin hyung." Jimin declares. His tone comes off as shy and as the words tumble from his lips, he's surprised to hear them himself. He knows full well that he's completely thrown Seokjin under the bus, ignoring the pain he's witnessed from the other for most of his day, but he constitutes his Dare being appropriate enough because of his own hurt feelings. Yoongi's Truth question brought back bad memories and Jimin's more than just uncomfortable over it. This really isn't a game, it's turning into a terrible idea.
"No." Namjoon states dryly. He scoffs, adjusting his long legs beneath himself. "I'm not going to do that, tell me that's a joke."
"I'm not joking." Jimin presses.
"Then I pass."
"Then you can answer a Truth question." Jimin shrugs. "That's the rules."
Jungkook frees his bottom lip from in between his teeth, breaking his silence to voice his feelings of disapproval. "Jimin, come on." He whispers as he leans closer to Jimin's ear. "If you're upset now, don't take it out of Namjoon hyung." His tone is serious, disappointed.
Jungkook's voice sounds cold beside him and Jimin shakes it off. He does feel guilty, but he feels more wronged. He feels wronged for himself, but more wronged for Hoseok. His kept secrets shouldn't be the only ones put on display. "I'll give you a Truth. Ready?"
Namjoon's stare intensifies. "Do what you have to do." He knows what's coming at him, full force. He already knows.
"Is it true that you slept with Jin hyung and then denied his feelings for you?" Jimin asks, question laced with all of his held back resentment towards the man. His resentment levels are built up high from the way Seokjin's eyes had filled with unspilled tears he worked so hard to hold back whenever he thought Jimin wasn't looking in his direction. Nobody should make another person feel so used, not like that. Even if Seokjin wouldn't admit it, Jimin can do it for him. He can feel Jungkook's disappointment now beside him. He'll deal with his boyfriend later. "Is it true that you used him, hyung?" His words are hot, filled with sparks from the flame in his core. He tries to tame his anger again, but he looks up to meet Namjoon's astonished expression.
"Used him?!" Namjoon reacts, appalled.
Yoongi chuckles softly. "I'd call it that, too."
"I never used him." His heart beating faster than before as he feels himself on the brink of losing his calm, Namjoon squints his eyes at Jimin. "How can you accuse me of that?"
"You're denying that it's true?" Jimin continues, avoiding the others question for him. "You didn't sleep with him and then tell him that you can't be together? It sounds like using."
"It's not like that. I've explained myself."
"You haven't explained anything that makes sense. You're being selfish. You used him and now he's hurt because of you."
"It's really none of your business, to be honest, Jimin."
"It's my business when my friend is upset because of you. It's my business when he comes to me. It's my business, Namjoon."
"Do you think accusing me of using my best friend for sexual pleasure is going to help anything? Do you think you're making him feel better by doing this, by asking me a question like that? Who's making him feel like shit now?" Namjoon laughs, vision blurred by his building anger. "If you're going to make it your business to care about a friend and his emotions, then why are you blatantly stating in front of him that somebody he cares about would intentionally disrespect him like that?"
Jimin scoffs. "You have disrespected him! You did sleep with him, and then you told him that you can't be with him. You covered it all up with that stupid excuse, 'I can't treat you right.'." He shakes his head, eyes mirroring Namjoon's own, both seething in fired up emotions. Jungkook's hand circles around his wrist and it shakes in the youngers grip until he turns his attention to his boyfriend. Jungkook looks angry, but also hurt, something he wasn't entirely expecting to see.
"You need to stop." Jungkook hisses. "Stop it."
Jimin shakes his head again. "No, Jungkook."
