Part IX:

"Chris... Chris, stop," I groaned.

I was half awake, and I could feel his hands running against my skin.

"Wake up for me, beautiful," he kissed my forehead.
I pushed his face from mine while snuggling deeper into my pillow.
"Hazel," he sighed.
"Go away, Chris," I groaned.

A weight lifted off the bed and several minutes later, I felt a wave of coldness and wetness. I gasped as I rose abruptly. There he stood with an empty bucket in hand, in a tank top and basketball shorts. And, here I sit with drenched hair while tangled in wet bed sheets.

"I'm going to fucking kill you!" I shouted as he smiled.

I hopped up and began chasing him around the hotel room. He laughed as he dodged me, shaking and baking me like we were playing basketball. I eventually jumped on his back and tackled him on the dry portion of the bed. He laughed and smiled a genuine smile as I slapped him again and again while straddling him.

"What the hell, Chris?" I nudged his head with my fingers, making him smile.
He grabbed my hands and kissed them.
"You were ignoring me," he leaned up to kiss me.

I slipped my hands from his and pinned him back down as I gave him a serious look.
"Chris, don't throw water on me anymore unless you want me to kill you," I spoke, our faces close so he could see how serious I was.
A smile slipped onto his face easily before he pecked my lips.
"You're so beautiful," he bit his lip.
I rolled my eyes before smiling and blushing.

I don't know how he does it, but he always finds a way to make me blush like I did when we first met.

"Chris--"
He leaned up to kiss me, and he did so tenderly.
My eyes closed as he pecked my lips at least four more times.

"I'm sorry I got you wet.. I feel like that's the only way I can get you wet right now," he stifled a laugh.
I smiled and shook my head.
"That's not true," I said.
"Yes, it is," he smirked.
"Baby, you get me like that all the time. Sometimes, all you have to do is touch me," I reassured him.
He smiled a small smile.
"Are you hinting that you want to have sex tonight?" he inquired, raising an eyebrow.
"Maybe," I smirked while beginning to kiss his neck.
"I don't know about tonight, baby," he apprehensively spoke with a half shrug.
I paused for a second...

Chris is never apprehensive. He's always sure of how he wants things to go and what he wants to do and how he wants to do it..

"Who are you, and what have you done with the love of my life?" I asked.
He smiled and kissed my lips.

"My Hazel.. My silly, beautiful Hazel," he caressed my cheek.
I blushed again.
"Come on. Get showered up and what ever else you need to do, and meet me in the lobby," he pecked my lips.
I nodded before getting from on top of him.
He grabbed my hand and pulled me to him.
"Where are my magic words?" he asked.
I smiled before pecking his lips.
"'06 til infinity," I said.
He smirked before kissing my forehead and slapping my ass.

I pushed him back as he chuckled before leaving the room. I showered and got dressed before meeting him in the lobby, just as he told me.

"Where are we going?" I asked as our fingers laced.
"Out," he smiled slightly.
I playfully rolled my eyes as we began walking toward a restaurant, where we began having brunch...

I don't know what it is, but it seems as though Chris is just happy today. He's just genuinely happy, and it really brings me back to some days in high school. He always seemed his happiest when he was either on the field or at prep rallies and sometimes parties. It just makes me feel good to know that he can get the same amount of joy by just being with me.
