The next day, Yoongi went to the beach and the boy was already there.
Yoongi sat down with him and tried starting a conversation.
"Um, may I know your name?"
"Jimin. Park Jimin."
"Do you live around here?"
"I live in the sea."
"Why did you come here?"
Jimin paused for a moment. Yoongi thought that Jimin didn't want to answer so he quickly apologise.
"Oh! I-I'm sorry. I should-"
"To find love."
Those words made Yoongi froze. A mermaid finding love? Weird.
"Can a mermaid be in love with a human?"
Jimin shrugged.
"What's your name?"
"Oh! I forget to introduce myself. I'm Yoongi. Min Yoongi."
"Such a unique name."
Yoongi's heart flutter at Jimin's statement. Something about Jimin made Yoongi feel attracted to him.
"Why do you always come to the sea?"
"I really love the scenery and the sound of the waves. It made me relaxed whenever I have a bad and a stressed day."
"Why do you always come here?"
"When I swam across here, I always see humans play games which is interesting. It made me want to be like them. Be like human."
Yoongi can't believe what he heard. A mermaid wants to be a human. Is that even possible?
"Yoongi. I have to go. I'll come and meet you again someday."
Jimin smiled and his eyes were almost close. Yoongi can't help but smile and waved goodbye to him. Jimin entered the water and swam away.
"Hope you'll find love."
