Susie, Mike, and Clair stood in surprise and shock when Mark entered through the front door of Susie's house. Mark had a book with him named "History of Oregon" I have come here to study for my history test. Mark started to flip through the pages when Mike spotted a page on "imaginary fire in Harney, Oregon" Mike stared at it, "stop!" He yelled. Mark stopped on the page. "What?" Mark asked, "in the hospital, it seemed that the doctors were tricked into thinking I had a tumor, they must be connected in someway." The whole group glared at Mike, "that's a bit of a stretch, how could they be connected?" Said Clair, "I'm guessing." Said Mike. "Okay, enough! Let me do my work!" Commanded Mark and he kept on flipping through the pages. "Devil-like entity spotted by Barbara Hannigan in Clackamas, Oregon", "paranormal circus animal caught eating little boy in Medford, Oregon" And "6 year old, Dolly Kingston found dead in abandon well in Prosser, Oregon" flashed in Mike's mind and he finally said again, "STOP!" Mark looked up at Mike and he pointed at the last newspaper header. "What are the years?" Mike asked. "All 1990, why?"
Mark answered, Mike flinched. Mike took the history book and flipped to an atlas at the end of the book, he took a red marker and marked the places stated in the articles and then crossed them to make a big red cross with their city, Prineville in the middle.

"Guys, look. It all points to our town!" Mike said, scared and proud of his accomplishment at the same time. "Mike, stop being a retard. That's wrong and you know it." Said Clair, "plus, it's just a big, wild stretch—" Mike had finally gotten fed up enough and wasn't taking anymore of it. "SHUT UP!" Mike yelled and Clair jumped on Mike and bared her large sharp teeth. She took her lips and took her face off then her whole body to reveal that she was The Thing. It was 9 feet tall with Clair's ripped clothes on, it bit Mike on the arm and almost ripped it off when Susie took a chair and hit it with the chair making a huge dent in The Thing's face that never went away. Mark took the history book and hit The Thing on the leg which made The Thing fall. It took a box from it's shirt and put one leg in, two, it's arm then the other then it's head then left the house going directly through the floor burning it and then building back up. The history book on the floor started flipping through pages and images of a mysterious man started appearing in the images.

The book kept on flipping through pictures of demons with the devil and another one, another, another, flashing through Mike's and Mark's and Susie's mind making them nauseous

There was a long description under it, Valek, the devil's official partner lurks across the streets of Prineville, Oregon, feeding on young children every day, every second, always watching. After all the kids had read the passage, Mark shut the book in terror and looked back at Susie and Mike, "we're going to go kill this demon."
